It is said that it just take three seconds to make a good or bad impression of ourselves, every time you meet someone at first, you are being evaluated and also you are evaluating that person, in this first encounter they evaluate the way you move or your body language, the way you talk, your customs, mannerisms and other micro but yet important things that are going to decide the future results of another encounters.
So whether they are in your career or social life, it is important to make a great first impression. Let’s see how you can make a great impression:
Be clear. When you first meet someone it’s important to set your intentions, you need to know what kind of people you want to know.
Always be on time. What do you think about someone arriving minutes or even hours after the time you both set up for? Exactly it doesn’t feel good, and naturally you are going to get mad and think bad about him, right? So the other people, so please, don’t arrive late to a first meet.
Calm and Confident. If you feel uncomfortable you are going to make the other person uncomfortable too, and that’s not the way to make a good impression!, every time you first meet someone be confident about yourself, wear some comfortable clothes (depending the place and situation) and be yourself, don’t try to force a non-original you, otherwise, you are going to screw that first good intended impression.
Be interested. When you’re truly interested in meeting someone they get this in the first impression, if you can be truly interested in what they are talking about, how they feel, it’s going to be a plus for you, remember that genuine interactions are better than polite conversations.
Ask and listen. Have you ever met someone who never stops talking? Most of the people want to be listened, be that person, and make them feel like you care about them and what they want to tell you.
