To come off (something) can mean

A) to become detached from something

Example sentence:

  • The handle came off the door.

B) to succeed (of an action)

Example sentence:

  • Our experiment didn't come off.

C) to stop taking a medication or stop being addicted to it

Example sentence:

  • Dr. House should come off Vicodin.

D) to do in a specific way in a contest

  • I always come off second in debating this guy.
Sort:  

Don't pull so hard or the handle will come off.

Good grammar lesson. Apparently this phrasal verbs couldn't be separable, could it? I'd love to learn more of such nun separable phrasal verbs..

You mean particle? Phrasal or particle verbs are made up of a verb and one or a verb, particle and preposition. Some are separable whereas others are not. Come off is not separable. You can't say come something off. The object is always after the particle in that particular phrasal verb.
