The Curation and Engagement Leagues (Bounty Available!) - Sponsored by @carlgnash and @paulag!

in #engagement6 years ago (edited)

Hello all!

Welcome to this weeks Curation and Engagement leagues, kindly sponsored by @carlgnash and @paulag.

Thank you both very much for the extra STEEM boost, which allows me to reward the best curators and engagers of the past 7 days.

To enter the leagues drop a comment below (Lifetime membership - unless you ask to be removed)

The leagues (tables) are reset each week and so any time is a good time to join!

On your marks, get set, curate!

newtitle.png

Introduction

My general views on curation rewards (to score highly in League 1) are:

  • Vote before the big hitters, but not too early!

  • Voting in the first minute will earn you a curation reward of almost 0.000

  • Voting between 1 and 29 minutes will earn an increasing % of the curation rewards split, this value peaking at 30 minutes and remaining the same from this point onwards

  • It is commonly suggested that 15-25 minutes is the 'best' time to vote (especially on known 'power author' posts because they are likely to have more auto-votes coming in at these times - and you want to be ahead of these votes)

  • Voting on good dtube content and utopian-io approved contributions (prior to the vote by @dtube / @utopian-io ) can earn some very good curation rewards

  • Voting on @ocd posts is likely to gain good curation rewards as founder @acidyo, and @anomadsoul support these posts after giving time for other accounts to vote - you will be in front of a couple of large votes here!

As you can see, a combination of many variables such as Steem Power, voting strength, voting weight, time of vote, (and more) all play a part in the amount of rewards received.

My general opinion on maximizing engagement (to score highly in League 2) is:

  • Spread your vote and write lots of engaging comments!

  • Use your vote on comments to make yourself seen and provoke a reply

The data for league 1

The raw data has been collected from SteemSQL - @arcange's MS SQL Server copy of the Steem Blockchain.

The formula used for 'quality of financial curation skill' is:

Curation Rewards DIVIDED BY Steem Power MULTIPLIED BY 1000

This will return the amount of Curation rewards gained per 1000 Steem Power held

The rules (which will cause auto-filtering of your account if not met so just enter anyway and see what happens!) to appear in this league:

  • No programmed voting! Following a trail is OK, using a script to vote for you is not (but well done if you have done that!)

  • Must have voted at least once on a piece of content in the past 7 days

  • Must not have leased or delegated Steem Power in the last 14 days

  • Must not have Started a Power Down (withdrawal of Steem Power) in the last 15 days

The 2nd and 3rd points above are not bad things, but are required to reduce distortion of the figures.

And, as curation rewards for the past week are actually taken from votes made up to 14 days ago, we need a 15 day window as mentioned above.

Don't let this put you off entering though - you will be automatically be excluded/appear depending on the criteria above.

League 1 - Curating to maximize returns (Top 100)

The end column is what I think is a genuine indicator of how well you are financially working the curation game with the tools, including vested Steem Power, that you have at your disposal.

This Week's winners!

Congratulations to @pataty69! A consistent performer who seems to be manually curating for profit really well. If you have any tips @pataty69, please share with us!

And well done to @osm0sis (woop!), @steemitri, @gjones15, @r-bot, @newbieresteemday, @greenrun, @lpessin, @malloryblythe, and @markangeltrueman for earning their place in the top 10.

All of the above will be getting some STEEM :)

League 2 - Engagement and Excellence - Write on!

This the newer league which is not based around rewards and relates to engagement.

Everyone currently on my master list has a chance here - delegation dealings or not.

I've used some metrics (which is the fancy way of saying that made up some numbers) relating to:

  • Posts (P)
  • Comments - number of (C)
  • Comments - replies to replies - depth > 2 (C R) (new this week)
  • Comments - length in characters (C L)
  • Witness votes (W) (for those proxying witness votes, your total is always 30)
  • Upvotes to others (V)
  • Upvotes to different authors (U V)
  • Self-votes - a small minus score for this one sorry! (S V)

Firstly, if you are placed in the table above then you are doing great and are among the top 25%!

Congratulations to @glenalbrethsen who tops the league of engagement and excellence again this week! An astonishing level of engagement and a clear League 2 record with the amount of text printed on the Steem Blockchain. Amazing!

Very well done also to @simplymike who has been running some awesome competitions and offering out delegations recently, and @davemccoy 'the rallier' who is back in the top 3 again this week. Sweet!

Excellent engagement levels and top 10 places for @abh12345, @leeart, @lynncoyle1, @gillianpearce, @fullcoverbetting, @bashadow, @mirrors, and @johndoer123 who will all be receiving some STEEM this week.

Do you want to be a part of the leagues? Let me know below!

Delegation Prizes

The most consistent performers, and especially those in need of a boost on the way to the holy grail of 500 SP, could also receive a small delegation. This week:

50 SP added (150 SP total) - @leeart
50 SP added (100 SP total) - @mirrors
50 SP - @johndoer123

Well done guys, continue oiling that Blockchain :D

GREAT job to see so many newbieresteem authors listed again!! I missed commenting last Sunday for this post- I apologize... but I made it here today.

trying to get as much work done as possible- we have an ice storm here- hard to believe three days ago it was almost 70-degrees here

CONGRATULATIONS to all! Fabulous work and you all have a tremendous dedication to the platform and interaction!

Hello @goldendawne, long time no chat, Hope the weather has improved over there.

Happy to always see you as quality curator under @qurator program and good day my friend.

GREETINGS!!!! Miss our chats!
Yeah... not a good day here at all

So far we have about 1/4-inch of ice, now it's sleeting... Happy Spring! haha
w.jpg

At least we still have power. But I've heard about a mile from here.... loss of power.

wow, that's too much, people here are dying because of the heat!!! and there it's totally different, that's the beauty of this nature. Hope it improves soon, happy to see you back commenting as well. :)

lol, you already forgot or didn't I tell before?

I am from India and it's summer time in April itself, It will be even more horrible in May and early June.

I don't think I ever knew :) Oh, so it's very hot and humid right now then. Our July and August are brutal here! Better than snow in April though :P

Yeah, I am from India, thanks to some heavy rain for last couple of days, the temperature is a bit less, but it still is hot.

I know, you guys will enjoy your summers than those boring winter and rainy seasons. :)

I'm in S Kansas ,north of me catching hell . hope it doesn't affect crop production throughout the area

My parents are in Southern Ontario (south of Detroit) and the weather is no better there for the farmers either right now. Crazy!

Yea if they can't plant or plant late food prices go up . weather is nuts for this time of year . here all the way up into canada is wheat, grain and corn country .
Corn is in everything food to fuel

No need to apologize Dawne!

You have done so much good for many communities and been at the top of league 2 enough time for an honorary place in the ice storm :D

Thank you!

Happy Sunday to you and @osm0sis! Hope your weather is MUCH nicer!

Thank you! It's rather lovely actually, sorry!image.jpg

oh now look who's bragging!!!

Yes it is beautiful!!!

Rain downspout.JPG

This pretty much sums up the weather at our place. Not snow, but cooler than normal and rain, rain, rain. So, we all can't live in a tropical paradise, I guess. Or can we? 🤔

Wow. The comparison between these two photos...

hahaha Asher! Way to rub it in, hey @goldendawne!!? :)

I don't know about everyone else, @abh12345, but I think you just invited the rest of us to come visit. :) How much room to you have?

Actually, reminds me a lot of @lynncoyle1's neck of the woods.

I have no space at all, unless a lie-low in the pool works!?

I have no idea what a li-lo inbtjr pool is, and Google was rather vague. I'm guessing li-lo is a brand maybe and then those other letters grouped together is a type? Inbt junior? In bt junior? This is kind of like how we teach our children to read—Sound out the words, son. :)

Oops! It was late and a few beers didn't help! ☺️

A inflatable bed in the pool - sleep in the day, cold drinks at night. And Indian food 😁

wow you are graet

We're in the middle of an ice storm too! Last night I thought someone's was throwing rocks at the house, only to find out they were giant pieces of hail. Since, overnight, we've seen just about every variation of precipitation in existence

I think you are so busy with everything @goldendawne that you take on, that there is no need to apologize! I saw your weather pic here; that's nuts, but it seems to be the normal from the mid to east coast! Middle of April too...ugh! Hang in there :)

Congratulations! Your submission earned you 0.108 SBD from this bounty. You have received 0.053 SBD from the creator of the bounty and 0.055 SBD from the community!

Voting on own comment is kind of I dont like because this moves down some good comments too.

I didn't vote on my comment, it's auto ahah

Well i've not seen that account for a while!

lol, the famous bellyrub is back?

ahhh so many jokes I could make here @coolguy123 haha

:) I used bellyrub before and I was satisfied with that because I use to get decent return for my investment with lower bids, but now it's no more. That's why I said that :)

I see :) That's like most bid bots now I think!

haha, indeed! bellyrub is a MB vote seller now

Oh jeez! Thanks for the info!

lol, the famous bellyrub is back?

Congratulations! Your submission earned you 0.055 SBD from this bounty. You have received 0.000 SBD from the creator of the bounty and 0.055 SBD from the community!

Hey @abh12345, thanks for the very useful tips!

I would like to enter the leagues: how much does it cost the Lifetime membership? ;)

A big friendly hug!
@amico

Thank you :)

It's free! Welcome :D

Really? :O

Oh yeah! ;)

Thank you, I appreciate very much!

Congratulations! Your submission earned you 0.067 SBD from this bounty. You have received 0.018 SBD from the creator of the bounty and 0.049 SBD from the community!

Been slowly creeping my way up the ranks... super happy to be 2nd this week, and to be in a tight race with my buddy @steemitri 😊
Thanks @carlgnash, @paulag, and @abh12345 for the opportunity to show off my skills and have bragging rights for the week 😜

Well done!!!! x

Super great job @osm0sis ... I accept my 3rd place, just because it's you ;-)
Congrats to @pataty69 for the 1st place!
Have a great week Steemians!!!

Congratulations! Your submission earned you 0.193 SBD from this bounty. You have received 0.178 SBD from the creator of the bounty and 0.015 SBD from the community!

Cool! 😉

Asher, again what a great job you are doing and it is awesome to start to see the attention this is getting from the "big boys" like @fulltimegeek @beanz @anomadsoul @aggroed through their upvotes... Not to mention the wonderful support you are also getting from @paulag and @carlgnash by directly sponsoring this. I also hope that @krnel read your comment and finds a way to support you too. This concept of focusing on engagers and content curators to build a community is something that you are leading the way on and my hope that it continues to build traction.

On the leagues themselves of course I want to congratulate @glenalbrethsen for a simply amazing job... Glen you are hands down the best when it comes to really getting involved. I love that you always respond thoughtfully. I also see that @simplymike is making her presence felt too... I can only imagine the battles that will be when she gets 100% healthy. ;)

I see many other familiar names and lots of newbies that are making great progress too... Congrats again to @leeart @mirrors @johndoer123 for not only really getting involved, but also for getting more delegation from Asher. You 3 definitely deserve it and I appreciate the fact that you are making an impact already in such a short time! (thanks to you too Asher, this is really cool of you to do)

I also want to say thanks to the ABC's of Curation for the work on @newbieresteemday... Its nice to see you in the top and happy to know all the great work you've done! It should make @coolguy123 @doomsdaychassis @simplymike happy to know that you are in the top 10 again! Very cool and wonderful job :)

Lastly, I want to thank you Asher for the 1.5 Steem prize, this week it will go directly to support the Play 4 a Newbie Challenge. I am happy that your prize will be added to that Prize Pool and I will return next week to playing for @friendsofgondor to support the #stewardsofgondor!

FInally I want to remind everyone that @abh12345 and @paulag are witnesses now... I hope that you all go to show your support by adding @steemcommunity to your witness list!

Cheers Asher and once again, awesome that you are bringing everyone here; and encouraging and motivating them!

Looks like I'm not the only one 'novel' writing this week. :)

I'm not sure how much involved I am. I'm just trying to get out there as far as I can and see what I find to comment and curate on. And in doing so, I came across some good stuff. It's there. It just needs to be dug up.

You, @abh12345, @lynncoyle1, @beeyou, and whoever else there might be at @newbieresteemday, plus everything else anyone else is trying to turn into successful initiatives are the ones doing all the heavy lifting.

Congratulations on your spot this week Dave! Nice surprise attack...no one, including myself, saw it coming haha

:) ... Thanks @farmgirl ... ooops I mean @lynncoyle1 :) ... I try to be sneaky sometimes ;)

Now that you know my tricks, I don't think I can do it again though... You have far too much stamina for me to compete with on a consistent basis! :P

And now who's the sandbagger? You do know what sandbagger is right? :)

wow, those big messages have become very rare from you @davemccoy, so, happy to see this one after a long time.

First of all, yes, looking at the progress of @newbieresteemday makes anyone happy who is supporting it directly or indirectly.

Regarding the witness account @steemcommunity, I think I misunderstood and voted for @abh12345 and @paulag individually instead of voting for @steemcommunity. I will go and do that now. Thanks for the reminder :)

Hope you are doing good Dave, keep inspiring and Have a wonderful week ahead :)

hey @coolguy123... Yes I have been so busy that I have been lacking on the big comments... I actually don't like not having time to make the big comments.. I like having great comments with you (and others like you) where there is real dialogue and meaningful conversation. I have been figuring out how to best help here on steemit and frankly the best way in my opinion is to get "community oriented" witnesses like @steemcommunity to get selected by as many as possible.

You asked me one time "is there anything I can do"... that led to a sensational platform called @newbieresteemday led by @mudcat36. I think now the time is for us to focus on getting people like @abh12345 and @paulag going strong as a witness so that we have a voice, but even more importantly so that we can put a little pressure on the other witnesses too. The community is only as strong as the people that are running it, and without people that care about newbies and minnows, I'm afraid we can't build the community that sustain itself in the long run.

So if you want to help me again, I would be honored to work with you in helping to get others to support these "community-minded" witnesses!

Agree with you @davemccoy, voted for @steemcommunity as a witness.

but even more importantly so that we can put a little pressure on the other witnesses too.

I think that is an important point and just hope that works and yes, many like me have faith in @paulag and @abh12345 that they will continue their helping to minnows and others who are in need as part of @steemcommunity witness.

I would be honored to work with you in helping to get others to support these "community-minded" witnesses

Definitely I will make a not of it and try as much as possible to spread the news and gather more support. May be I can write a blog on this (I guess there might be many already on this, but to make it reachable to my 2000+ followers, I can write one).

I hope you had a nice weekend and some rest as well, good day ahead :)

awesome @coolguy123... I knew you would understand the purpose and want to help out! :) ... I will come up with ideas and run them by you and we can put our heads together and see what we can get done together! Again :)

I am now going to comment on your historical figure post, I saw you did it and want to see who you picked and why!

:) great, thanks for running your ideas through me, I am happy to be collaborate with you in future as well.

Thanks for the comment on my post, I feel it great to have you and others on my blogs :)

I must say @davmccoy has been a superb rock for myself and asher as witnesses and the support is not going unnoticed. he has mentioned our name where every he can, and although I am not replying to them all, I am reading them.

@Coolguy123 wow thank you for your support too. Yes its @steemcommunity for the witness (note to myself make better GIF to show how and WHO to vote for)

That's right, I have seen messages from Dave in other posts as well on this and yes, he is indeed wonderful not just for newbies but for others as well.

Regarding the vote, yes, I will support whatever you and @abh12345 are doing because of your contributions to Steemit blockchain and also it will help all of us in the longer run.

Good day @paulag :)

that's so awesome @coolguy123. I'm rather lucky to have partnered up with asher on this one

Well, both of you have contributed in your own ways, so I am sure the combined followers from yours and Asher's will fasten the progress of this witness candidature I think.

Best wishes :)

Thank you very much for saying that @paulag :) ... I haven't even started yet though :P ... And btw, I am very much looking forward to the GIF... If you can make it in a banner form, I will proudly get it plastered all over the place! :)

Hi Dave

Thanks for the write-up!

I've been really blessed to have the support of some 'big-boys' and girls recently, really fortunate of me and I'm very grateful!

Since the turn of the year, the post has really taken off, and I have you to thank for much of that.

So, Thank you very much! :D

:) ... Happy to spread the word and get some "big-boys' and girls paying attention to you and @paulag (and now @danielsaori too)... We need people making the rules that are interested in being "bothered" to deal with the newbies and minnows... If the current witnesses don't want to focus on building out communities, then I say we need new witnesses.

I don't mean to sound negative, but we have a long way to go before we will have influence - but as long as we are trying to do our best for the place then I think it's worth taking this long journey. Thanks again!

Of course Asher, I agree :) .. That is all we can ever do, try our best and hope for the best.

I have no illusions that it will be easy for you and @paulag to get influence, but I have a hunch you both have more influence than you think. I have watched you carry yourself for many months now, and I like that you are humble (which I admire very much). And while you are on a long journey, I think you have many more people rowing the boat than you know! ;)

Have a wonderful day! Cheers

Congratulations! You made it to the top 3, sneaky you lol! Cheers to @abh12345 @paulag @carlgnash for making this community a healthy interactive platform.

lol... I will take it, but I really didn't think I would make it this week... I guess the contest helped me a bit just dealing with that! :P

Congrats to you too @leeart.. #5 is pretty damn good :D

Congrats on that contest too. Glad one of my nominees persisted :D

Congratulations! Your submission earned you 0.207 SBD from this bounty. You have received 0.195 SBD from the creator of the bounty and 0.012 SBD from the community!

Thank you, as always to abh12345 for compiling the leagues and to @carlgnash and @paulag for the sponsorship.

Congratulations to @glenalbrethsen for maintaining your lead and to @leeart, whom I not surprised to see in the top five, given all the commenting you have done on my posts. 😁 And congrats to @davemccoy for returning to the top three again. It's good to see you there. 😍

Glad to hear you're taking a day off @lynncoyle1 and still maintaining a top ten position whilst looking after Brian. 💙

Well done everyone in the top ten and anyone who is enjoying commenting and playing in the league.

I am absolutely delighted to be seventh and to win one Steem. Thank you for that @abh12345.

I had a much more relaxed and balanced week and topped it off with a weekend in London, including attending the Crypto Currency Show put on by #promosteem. Nothing beats meeting your fellow Steemians in person.

What a blast! 😁

Wishing you all a fun week on Steemit nicely balanced out with the rest of your life! 😍

Always a pleasure, thank you for the write-up!

Also, well done for making the london crypto show yesterday - I heard the Steem/Steemit stand was buzzing and that 'we' really stood out! :D

We certainly did @abh12345. In fact, at the end of show, @stephenkendal was asked if he would ask us to go and sit in on a talk that no-one had turned up to listen to. We became a "Steemian Rent A Crowd". 😂

I hope you got an upvote for that! 😂

I had the same thought @ash12345 but we didn't. 😂 Would have been too difficult to manage as there were so many of us.

I got resteemed and upvoted elsewhere so I'm definitely NOT complaining. Stephen Kendal was very supportive all round. 😁

He's the guy that got me aware of Steem/Steemit via Twitter where I'd been following him for a few years - good man!

That's interesting @abh12345. Is he aware of what you're up these days? 😊

Did you see the video he did with me?

No i don't think he is, but that's ok 😊 I missed the vid, link me up!

I have been reading lots of posts about the show. Someone even brought bread to the event :D Lots of stalls too related to cryptocurrency.

Congrats to you too and to everyone!

Yes. It was really good fun @leeart. I'm really missing everyone this morning, sitting on my own in front of my computer screen again. 😢

It's still better going outside especially when the weather is great rather than sitting all day in front of the screen. It gets cloudy here before noon and then rain will follow.

That's very true @leeart. I was glad to be out and about today looking for some red images. It's good exercise and feels a little like a treasure hunt. 😁

Good for you! I plan to go out today too and hope to picture things to share.

Thank you @gillianpearce! That is a nice way of looking at it :)

Congratulations to you! And you met some steemians in person!! So cool :) There's a big conference in Las Vegas too this weekend I believe; if I was back home, I might have made the trip. I think there should be one planned for Playa del Carment lol

A conference in Playa el Carmen would be fun @lynncoyle!.

I'm lucky to be able to get to London fairly easily as, at the moment, most stuff in the UK is happening there.

I'm thinking about arranging something in Brighton in May but I've already got a lot on so not sure if I can get around to it yet. I shall see . . .

Wishing you both a peaceful week. 😍

It would be fun, wouldn't it. I'm not sure how much "work" would get done though haha

Your Brighton idea is a good one, but yes, be careful how much you 'bite off'; you're seeming much more relaxed and in stride with your time spent on and offline these days!

Hope you have a wonderful week as well! Thank you for the well wishes...as always, we will take them :)

Yes. It's interesting @lynncoyle1. I definitely have better balance now but that has also given me more space to think.

Being at the Crypto Currency Show in London showed me just how much I like being around people, . . . at times 😂, so i now need to find more balance in that I think.

I spend to much time, on my own, in front of a computer screen.

I found the same thing out last week; our friends from Canada are on holidays here and we went out one night for a few hours with them and I enjoyed myself thoroughly! It's so easy to mole yourself up on your computer and pretend you're being social typing to a bunch of different people haha

Let's see. You made the motion and @gillianpearce seconded, so I think it just needs to go to the rest of us. All in favor:

AYE!

Any opposed? (What, are you crazy?!)

The ayes have it! Motion carries. :) Road trip to Playa del Carmen. Maybe after we all visit @abh12345, since he invited us all over. :)

I'd like to see you work out a road trip to Playa del Carmen for me @glenalbrethsen.

Visiting @abh12345 would be a simpler option but even that would be a bit tricky by road! 😂

Well, 'road' trip doesn't quite work for you, but it does for me! Actually, It's a pretty long road and somewhat fraught with danger, though I do know of someone who has made one from here deep into Mexico. I wouldn't try it, though.

Let's see. For you, I need to know if you'd rather fly or at least make the first part of the leg via cruise ship. There is the matter of the pond needing to be crossed. :)

If you're paying @glenalbrethsen I'll go cruise ship although that will make the journey a very long one. Maybe just book me first class. 😊

Cruise ship it is, then. Tried to look up a first class ticket, but I didn't find one first try, so let's go for the high side (hopefully) and try $12,000 USD. At today's value, that's roughly 4,800 STEEM. So, hopefully I did overestimate the cost, so that I don't have to win the league anymore than 1,598 weeks to get you there. That's less than 31 years. I should still be around. :) Maybe I'll get help from a boost in STEEM prices along the way and I can cut some years off.

OMG That is hilarious @glenalbrethesen. You made me laugh outloud.

I think having to win the league for 1,598 years is a big ask, even for you. I'm not sure I can wait 31 years. In fact, let's be honest, I'm not sure I'm going to want to be traveling that far in 31 years time so we definitely need a plan B.

Waiting for the price of Steem to rise seems a bit passive to me. You might have to try harder! 😂

Actually, I met someone at the weekend who is planning on making $15 million in 7 years so maybe you could think more along those lines.

i know you're very resourceful when you put your mind to it @glenalbrethsen. I have every faith in you.

In fact, maybe we should forget the League and you should get started on finishing your novels. You could have a best seller in a few months.

You still here? Shouldn't you be writing? 😍 😂

Congratulations! Your submission earned you 0.136 SBD from this bounty. You have received 0.124 SBD from the creator of the bounty and 0.011 SBD from the community!

Thank you @steem-bounty. Your reward is very much appreciated although I still haven't worked out exactly how you work yet. 😂

Congrats to the nacho king @glenalbrethsen! Two weeks in a row. Man, I can't keep up with your novel writing. You seem to be up to that challenge of showing us a novel through your comments lol! I wonder what this will call for. Another Mexican?

Finally @johndoer123 congrats! Your contests surely made a huge help in this. It is very engaging and lots of interaction there. Keep it up!

Also, @mhm-philippines is not far behind for being in the top 10. Just a little bit more and you'll get there.

@creyestxsa94 exercise those fingers a little more haha!

I am so glad these guys are doing good. I was right in encouraging you to join this.

Thanks again @abh12345 for the delegation. It's been tough this week for not being able to steem more.

Top 3 cannot be beaten for how much active they have been. Great going everyone!

Congratulations to you @leeart! Nice job again this week, but yes, the nacho king is truly king again :)

Ahaha! I am wondering what food are we going to be celebrating with it. Hopefully it's not something Mexican @glenalbrethsen?

haha I wonder? I guess he's moved on to bigger and better decrees :)

Nope. No food decrees this week. You, me and @lynncoyle1 were the ones I know of who participated (@davemccoy said he might, but I didn't see evidence he followed through), so Mexican food must not be as widely loved as I thought.

So, as I said in my "thank you" comment to Asher, ya'll celebrate, or not, however you want. Food. No food. Whatever. It's your thing. :)

I was not able to follow through on your Mexican food decree... I did very much want to, but other things got in the way :P

Hey, it's all good. Just a little fun thing for people to do if they were inclined. No big deal. Life gets in the way. No problemo. :) This week, do what you want. It's your life. Let it get in the way. Or not. It's okay. No hard feelings. Really. :)

I'm just here sipping my coffee :)

This nacho king thing isn't going to be the nickname that sticks, is it? I don't even really like nachos that much. I mean, it has to have more than chips and cheese. @leeart is the one who ate them, and we all have photographic proof, so if anything, she's the Nacho Queen. :)

Haha! My fault. I'm not going to call you with any other name.

haha @leeart, now that we know @glenalbrethsen isn't a fan of Nacho King, I don't know about you, but I'm finding it difficult to think of any other name but! :)

...sorry Glen, that's the price you pay for being in power ;)

Whatever... :)

You know, there's different ways to interpret "Nacho King." I don't know if this way of speaking still persists, but said fast enough, "Nacho King" could still mean, "Not your king," which actually works for me. :)

hahaha great minds and all that! I was going to say the exact same thing :)

I know you always upvote comments, so go check out @beeyou's latest post "my two cents...". I'll be curious to see what you think.

Okay, just left my two cents under themanwithnonames' comment there. As it is, I'm kind of confused after reading Tim Cliff's post why he's bringing it up when it kind of sounds like it's already a planned part of HF 20. Or at the very least, a change in the dust threshold with an adjust down on rewards payments. If Tim's idea isn't that, then he'd be monkeying around with it on top of that.

Great work again @leeart, thanks for the summary above and mentioning the ones just outside the top 10 😁

Ha! I know the others know what to do :D My referrals, nay steemian friends, needs a little more coaxing. I know they are putting that effort.

Oh? HAHAHAHA!!! :D Perhaps I should.. :D :D And I had 1 self vote? Waaah!! Because everytime I post, it will automatically hit the upvote button :( I would really remove it but maybe i missed to remove one.. But, it's okay.. I'll also be more cautious next time.

Haha! Now that you know what is at stake and who you're competing with, I hope this will fire you up. BUT remember to have fun!

Ohh yeah, of course. HAHA :D I really enjoy interacting with other people in the platform. :) It's really fun! :)

Yes! It takes away the pressure off this contest.

There should be a box to uncheck the 'autovote' but don't worry about 1 or 2 'selfies', cheers!

I was looking for it and I saw it.. I unchecked the box and after a post or two, it'll go back again to auto self vote. :(
I did it again anyways.. Hopefully it works now. :) And if ever it will autovote again, I'll be more cautious. :D

Sounds like a pain in the ass!

If it happens again I would leave the vote there - you don't recoup the Voting Power so might as well take the Steem Power 😁

Really?? :( I didn't know that.. That's bad. :( Or, might as well, I should be more cautious when i make a post and check if the box for the auto upvote was on so I won't be able to post it with an auto self upvote again.. :)

Yeah, bad but true! Good luck!

Thank you so much for those kind words. It seems to me that my three points that I said out with when I started these games are coming to fruition. I have received comments from people saying they have learned things. Also comments about how people are learning and most importantly as you stated people are engaging one another. I also know because of the comments that's a little bit of money I am able to give away his helping. I even had one person tell me that due to my games they want to stick around steemit.😁 I have to thank everybody here in this great community and our creator for all of the great inspiration. I have even been able to attempt to help a couple of people with a few things. Things like that make you feel great. And give you the strength to continue on. I wish everybody here has a great day and that our creator be with you.

Yes, yes! That's what I like about engaging. Aside from learning about others, we get to help them too. That's why it's such a great idea that this contest has come to fruition. Even after we are not in this contest there is the sense of keep doing it because we already know the benefit of it. Same thing with contests. It keeps this platform healthy.

Congratulations friend! I was sure you'd be back, you're very active and participative all over the network! Keep it up. You're an example to all of us. Good luck.

You're so sweet @melvadg! Thank you! I try to be as active as I can. I want to make every delegated power worth it.

Nacho king?! Hey, you were the one who ate the nachos. I'm actually not so fond of them. Lots more stuff I like in front of them. :)

Well, I can't keep up with the number of your comments (very well done), so does that make us even? It definitely takes a combination of many things to do well in the engagement league, I believe, but CL is very much one of them.

It's kind of funny, though. I actually made a concerted effort to lower the CL this week on my comments, and instead the average CL per comment went up. :) Guess I'd better stop trying to limit myself and see what happens. :)

Oops, sorry, my bad. I got carried away lol!

Maybe so but it's the overall that matters in the end. Just do what you are doing because it does make a good conversation. You give insights that invokes more insight which is great.

Hey.. this is awesome, @abh12345! Thank you so much for doing this; I really appreciate it!!

To be perfectly frank, I don't think I could even pinpoint one reason why I have accumulated the curation scores I have: but there are a couple of things I could mention.

One, as others have said, is to try and pick posts that I think will do well in the future; i.e., posts that are, as we say, "undiscovered." One good way to do this is to go to the "new" category-tag, and the scroll-down to where the posts are around 15 minutes old; that way, you still have time to read the article and be sure it is of sufficient "quality" before upvoting it--but you are still "in" soon enough to be one of the post's early-voters. Then, depending on the situation, I will move to step 2 (see below).

Secondly: I believe we, as selfish humans, have a tendency to feel that "giving" is somewhat of an irrational act--especially when we feel that we ourselves are "in need--" While in fact, many studies have shown that cooperation tends to yield the greatest mutually beneficial results. In other words, instead of, for example, only re-steeming your own posts, how about re-steeming that really awesome, as-of-yet undiscovered newbie's post you just saw; or, maybe even buy the user a small bid on a bit-bot! gasp

Remember: Your curation rewards depend on you up-voting a post before it gets big; therefore, anything you can do to get a quality post you upvoted more exposure is a good thing!!!

P.s., And because I do feel that curation is such a crucial aspect of what makes Steemit great, you've got my witness vote, abh12345 :)

Congratulations @gjones15!! Nice work for sure ;)

ps/ I haven't forgotten about your post fyi...it's coming!

uh huh, yeah, suuuure it is, @lynncoyle1 ;))

hahaha oh you're going to eat those words buddy ;)

Chomp, chomp, chomp<<---- Me eating my words ;)

Thank you @gjones15!

Some sound advice in this message, I'm glad you are using this approach and even better, that it is picking up some good rewards for you, cheers!
