Oil And Gas See Regulatory Windfall Under Trump
When the new Congress kicks off, we will have a divided government. Even with both houses, President Trump was unsucccesful in getting much of his agenda passed.
One area that he did excel was in rolling back regulation for the energy industry. The New York Times did a study that found 80 regulations were either eliminated or are in the process.
There would have been more had the courts not stepped in a ruled the agencies didn't have the authority those instances.
The next frontier will be to weaken fuel economy standards.
