Thanks for sharing these. I think I prefer the original logo and colours. I'm still not used to the new look.

Hi joroderick as far as I know the blue logo is free to use and alter but the green one is steemit's official logo which is not free for us to alter. So both are steemit logo's. I wasn't going to continue posting but as many steemian's use the word "dude" I decided to do this one. Tomorrow I will post a "dudette" one.

Oh? Why two logos? Sounds odd to me. Hey, what do I know? I'm fairly new here. :D

Hi joroderick you can read up about them here: https://steemit.com/faq.html#Am_I_allowed_to_use_the_Steem_and_Steemit_logos The green logo is a new addition and has replaced the blue one which used to be in it's place on the blogs a few months ago. Do you know about http://steemworld.org? It's full of valuable account stats that I find very helpful as they update live. Just add /@joroderick at the end. http://steemworld.org/@joroderick

It still seems strange to have two logos. If the original one is no longer relevant then it's really pointless. Why would people want to use the old logo? Anyway, not overly concerned about it. I do thank you for upvoting my content. Your votes have made me rise in rank, so that is fun. :)

As far as I can see the old logo belongs to all steemians to use while the new green one is the more professional looking one that better represents steemit and you aren't allowed to use it without their explicit permission. They are still both relevant. My upvotes for your posts will vary depending on my voting power percentage. So some upvotes could be a day late. Unfortunately steemworld offers a new stat which points out steemians who upvote themselves or others (as in the same bloggers) regularly. I think it's a major negative for building up relationships between steemians. Hopefully he will change his algorithm sooner than later. It's annoying that the owners of steemit are nowhere to be found and not contactable regarding these issues. I'm continuing to power down and will consider a different strategy to avoid all this backstabbing etc. I've learned that it's best to avoid any touchy subjects and not to get involved with those self appointed steemians who police steemit and who think they have the right to excessively bully others. As I have trading experience I may make my money that way but for now I am slowing things down. It's great that your reputation score is rising but unless you are very high up with lots of SP you are just painting a target on your back by having a high score. I watch these searches for like minded people that I have stuff in common with. https://steemit.com/created/capetown and https://steemit.com/created/southafrica More upvotes tomorrow or later on. Glad they are helping you.

This is so frustrating. Steemit and blockchain was supposed to be a way forward out of this stupid mentality. I caught some of the posts about it. Very unfortunate that this is happening.

As per my video I released recently, I upvote people I like and enjoy their content. I upvote your comments because it is in my nature to support real people. When I get a chance to spend sometime browsing Steemit, I upvote content I enjoy. I avoid those overly obvious money making posts.

Perhaps upvoting oneself isn't seen as good, but to be honest, when you start out, NO ONE sees you at all. Sometimes your own vote is all you get.

I didn't even realise that there was that many Cape Town posts. I barely get time to breath these days. I'm actually going to pay some attention to those threads from now on. I'll save the links. I've been doing a social experiment by often including #CapeTown in all my content to see what happens.

The good news is that I spend more time on here now than on Twitter and Facebook together. Facebook I really use to chat to a very good friend in the UK. She has been a huge supporter of my books, and I know she is going through some tough times. It's the least I can do to be there with her (even if only online) and make her laugh.

I'm also trying out Dtube, but because I optimise my previous videos for YouTube end cards, they might look a bit daft here. My last video I exported two versions, one for DTube without the animated end card screen I created.

I'm on here and twitter however I don't really use twitter at all. I gave up on facebook a long time ago. Keep in mind you get https://steemit.com/trending/capetown and https://steemit.com/created/capetown which will give you different results. I find DTube annoyingly slow to start and will often download the videos.
