The committee's director Islamic scholar Abdullah al-Khudairi said that according to the Islamic calendar the committee did not see the moon of holy Shawwal during Wednesday morning. As a result, in the scientific calculation, the month of Shawal began 26 minutes after sunset.

He also said that on Thursday evening the moon of holy Shawwal was seen. Accordingly, holy Eid-ul-Fitr will be celebrated on Friday.

Earlier, the United Arab Emirates, Turkey, Malaysia, Indonesia and Singapore were the first countries to see the moon as the first country.

However, there was no moon in Shawwal on Thursday in India and Pakistan. As a result, Eid-ul-Fitr will be celebrated in these areas on Saturday. Likewise, New Zealand and Australian Muslims will celebrate Eid on Saturday.

On Thursday, Jabal Hafeet of the United Arab Emirates, the moon of Al-Ain, has seen the moon. They announced this on behalf of the International Astronomy Center.

But the final decision on seeing the moon was seen in the United Arab Emirates moon sighting committee. They left the Maghrib meeting and decided to do this.

According to the preliminary declaration, state institutions of Arab countries will be closed until the 17th of the Eid on the occasion of Eid. On the other hand, there will be non-government organizations on Friday and Saturday if the Eid falls on Friday and Saturday.
