Recommendations vary based on what you're looking for. Sounds like you're interested in aerial video so it's hard to go wrong with DJI. The Phantom 3 at this point is great and not too much money. The Mavic is small and convenient while the Phantom 4 Pro ups the ante with a superior camera.
There are other worthwhile brands too, however DJI seems to have polished the hardware/software beyond most others.
