Lebanon Repeals Marry-Your-Rapist Law (Finally)
Last week Lebanon repealed a law that allowed a rapist to evade punishment by marrying his victim. It is the latest in a string of middle eastern countries to do so.
Jordan repealed this law in July, Tunisia has also repealed this law. Morocco repealed the law back in 2014. It's good to remember that even with so many terrorist organizations emerging from the region the general trend is progressive and it makes me hopeful for the future.
