This is currently my favorite snake!

Until I moved to Arkansas, I never had the pleasure of meeting the Speckled Kingsnake in person. Now, I learned that some even refer to it as the "Black Pepper Snake!" How cool is that? Personally, I think it looks like static on a television, which was one of my favorite channels growing up.

While preparing for my Wild-Man video, I recently shared a photo shoot with this beautiful snake and also went over some of their defense mechanisms. Now, I am happy to release my educational video where I share a little more about this particular species.

The information is the video and post is original, but I did have a quick refresher from this source.

Got bit by a cobra once, not a fun day 😂

I am wondered how you caught snake with your hand. When I see them I run away from there.

Looks like you are flipping us off in that picture LOL.

·

Good point, I hadn't noticed that. Unintentional and undeserved subliminal message.

Lol... Man got the mind to hold and play with that nigga.

Omg i cant believe you carried those snakes. Mehn in my country those snakes are enemies. Lolz cheers!!

It's a beautiful creature, no wonder it's your favorite for now

Is that a male snake? It must be called "papa" then

I see you really love this specie, you've blogged about it a lot in the last couple of days.

·

Yes, this is a great snake and a beautiful specimen. Thanks @lordjames!

Soon you're going to have to start talking with an Australian accent and putting your face way to close to dangerous things.

·

You mean and letting snakes bite me in the face?

That much I can do!

Very nice post, the amazing your post,i love animals, good job my brother,@papa-pepper

I can see why it is your favorite. I'm learning so much about snakes from your posts.

Cannot say i am a huge fan of snakes @papa-pepper... typical girl... haha!!! But he is a beautiful looking fella. We lived with snakes many years back... including a python who used to roam around the house like he owned it lol. I suppose the worst part for me was having to breed the mice and kill them for food for the snakes... i could never quite wrap my head around that...

·

Hahahahahahahaha.

I wonder how you handle them that they don't bite, Papa, even taking it close to your nose!. Hahaha it's not about the accent.

What the! yikes! Sneaky snakes... DOn't you afraid of that? Hahaha...

So cool!
I have caught and played with MANY snakes as a child, and as an adult, but for some reason, I have never once come across a kingsnake in the wild. Great find!

It does look like static on TV! Gee, it is hard to tell this is your favourite snake!
