Appreciating the work of teachers

Today at school made me reflect on a few memories that made me appreciate the work of teachers. As we know, teaching as a profession has never been easy and will never ne easy. Many people fail to acknowledge the work of teacjers and the efforts they put to contribute to society. I remember my days in Secondary School and my mom taught in the school i attended. She used to come back home nearly everyday with a headache. I used to feel kind of sorry for her and that made me dislike that aspect of the profession as young as i was that time which is not the situation now.

Today in my class, a lecturer was very busy trying to deliver lectures. He was struggling so hard to explain an aspect of the topic that he needed the students to understand. While he was busy explaining, most students were compaining that they still don't get it and there was this classmate of mine who was busy with something in her hands and completely distracted. She was sitting right infront of me so i peeped at what she had in her hands and i discovered that she was busy playing a game of candy crush on her smartphone.

I felt sorry for the lecturer who was using every ounce of energy in him to pass out something very important not knowing some people like this girl were not listening at all and ironically it is distracted ones like this in class who will ask the lecturer to explain again because they have not understood. This incident just sparked up meories of my mom's case and i could not help but applaud teachers for what they endure to do what they do. They impact our society in many ways but mostly at times are not appreciated for their efforts.

This is why i will like to use this post to give a shout out to all teachers out there who cherish what they do and despite the challenges still continue to enrich lives.

I SAY THANK YOU AND WELL DONE
