๐ Global Steem Village News #3: This week from the ecoTrain community
Consolidating our energy towards a steem-based #ecovillage or, indeed, a NETWORK of ecovillages, is an exciting shift for @ecotrain. We are now deliberately and consciously curating those posts which speak to the issues, challenges and needs of the emerging steem eco-communities. To that end, we have RENAMED our weekly @ecotrain 'Nuggets', to be "Global Steem Village News".
GREAT content this week - here are some of the gems, eco-green wisdom & insight shared under the #ecotrain tag this week on the steem blockchain. Even if you don't have VP or RC to upvote, a meaningful comment is usually upvoted by a smart author, so go lavish your appreciation and engagement on this great content.

If you want to help @ecotrain give juicier upvotes and haven't yet delegated or increased your delegation post HF21, please do! It matters! You loaning us your steem to make more money for you? Bit of a no-brainer, really!
@ecotrain is a artisan-hand-curated community built around the concept of gift economy and actively making our world a better place. We engage around sustainability, eco-green, permaculture, the glories of Mother Earth, inner transformation, alternative energy, earthships & earth building, recycling - in short, all the practical and conceptual underpinnings of paradigm shift.
Each week @eco-alex and @artemislives scour the steemit blockchain for people using the tag, and upvote-comment-curate in the best way they know how.

@wildhomesteading
What screams "family" and "community" more than teaching our young ones to save seeds? @wildhomesteading is settling into Autumn and enjoying collecting seeds with his son, and observing the changes to the plants each season as they adapt to his unique growing conditions!
@lizelle
Communities finding pivot points for harmony and connection helps everyone. Planting by the moon - indeed living in harmony with the lunar phases - is one of those binding, central pivot points that draws us together. @lizelle takes us through some of the fundamentals of moon planting - the how and the why.
@eco-alex
99 Reasons Why Earthships are F*@cking Awesome Part #7
The fundamentals WHY reasons of Earthships are covered so brilliantly in this series by @eco-alex. A little birdie sat on my shoulder and chirped the good news that a NEW E-BOOK form will be available in the @homesteaderscoop store very, very soon! Fingers poised on the "Buy Now" button please!! Holiday gift giving? Sorted!
@trucklife-family
Discussion about how we collectively got into such an environmental disaster is necessary, but endless blame creates division, paralysis and sinks us further. @trucklife-family encourages us not to allow the seed of blame to take root, and to instead allow ourselves to personally respond constructively in being part of the new paradigm. Eco-village and Eco-community is a pivotal part of that new paradigm of how we live together in harmony with Mother Earth.
@birdsinparadise
Travel with the Birds or A Trip Back in Time, Old Stone Fort Archaeological Park
How will the communities of tomorrow measure and judge us? Will they feel the same sense of serenity when they walk through the remains of Chicago? Or our eco-villages? @birdsinparadise put themselves back in time in a fascinating look at what might have been an eco-community of yesteryear. It brings us some wonderful challenges. Solar alignment and building materials and durability are two great takeaways from this post.
@ulisesfl17
Environmental degradation of anthropic origin affects Colombian moors
The same themes of siting, building, durability and the IMPACT a community has on its environment are picked up by @ulisesfl17 in his scholarly post about the Muicas of Colombia. How will the eco-villages and communities we create shape the world around us? Examining the past - without blame - is a great learning tool which enables us to consciously shift.
@justinparke
The small daily choices - down to how you clean yourself after a bathroom break - MATTER, in our homes and in community. Don't yet use a "butt blaster" or "bidet spray"? Just how many trees do we have to sacrifice for our toilet habits? @justinparke takes us on an educational - and very funny - journey through the bum gun journey. In our online, connected world, these are easy and inexpensive to buy and install in homes & communities everywhere.
@bghandmade
For every single person who considered "diversity" as important in an eco-community in last week's QOTW, this post is for you! @bghandmade celebrates DIVERSITY big-time with tomatoes!! And raises the point in a subtle way that one variety of just anything is both limiting, and boring.
@porters
Wednesday Walk Delayed By Cows A Good Thing, For It Made For a Magical Evening Walk
The values of eco-village and eco-community are already alive and happening in many parts of the world. @porters shows us how cooperation of neighbours during an evening walk enables cows to be effectively moved to new pastures, and how neighbours can, and already do, copperate and work together. Eco-village just takes this to next level.
@artemislives
Foraging Ethnic Lisu Flavours and Tribal Food Culture
One eco-cultural-community in the mountains of Northern Thailand is beginning to showcase its unique vegetarian-vegan foraged cuisine in the form of Vegan-Vegetarian Cooking classes. @artemislives helped them to do a "dry run" of the first day long eco-tour-class and spent some time engaging to help this little community create a new source of much-needed revenue. Communities engaging with the "outside world" around their unique purpose or niche is how we all learn and grow.
We hope you have enjoyed these eco-village related posts - please LAVISH them with upvotes, reblogs, comments and engagement.
Most importantly, consider writing under the #ecotrain tag this coming week - we love all posts eco-green, earth building, spiritual and natural, but mostly as those things relate to the building and evolution of eco-community.

@eco-alex For us it is a pleasure to read each and every one of the publications presented by the @ecotrain community, certainly we do not yet live in an eco-village, but it would be fantastic to learn from you to be able to realize it effectively in the not too distant future, in our case not only to live (sleep, eat and work) but also to house our talented children-musicians of scarce resources that we make life in our Foundation.<In the meantime we will continue reading and commenting on the publications that you invite us, it is wonderful to be able to learn from each culture, I feel that your publications are a great content of value for the blockchain.
Such a wonderful collection of posts! I do appreciate you pulling them all together for us so we don't miss out!
Thank-you too, for including my post in among these nuggets!
Thank you so much for the feature and the wonderful support, such interesting posts here!
