Crazy. My boy used to joke he was going to have a concrete garden because poor thing was required to help out in ours, you know, so he could eat fresh fruit and veg? Lol

I called this fruit "mango" just mango. Small mango 😁
But in my area, the fruit looks fibred in inside, and indeed I can eat the smooth skin of this fruit.

I tasted these when I went to thailand, that was 10 years ago and I was lucky enough to be introduced to them by my thai friend, they were super cheap in the markets then, shame they are so expensive now, they are gorgeous though xx
