Illinois Schools, State Offices, Services May Close - Budget Crisis
If Illinois cannot figure out a solution (even a temporary solution) by this Friday, June 30th, funding for certain emergency services, social services, schools and state offices will not be available and thus, these public services will be closing until a solution is found.
Many of you might have heard about Illinois' pension crisis - people who worked for 40 or 50 years are now finding out their pensions/retirement benefits have been mismanaged and may not be available. Turbulent times in our US economy - I believe Illinois will just be the first of many.

i'm an IL resident - our state is assed backward, corrupt and broke - we really ought to take a page out of Colorado's recent playbook, and i'd bet ya all the precious metals and crypto currencies in the world, it'd make one hell of a difference!

You are not alone - from what I've read, Washington State and Maine are about to be in similar situations.
I feel for you - the Green Revolution has not caught on in a lot of places. Even here in Vermont, legalization bills keep getting voted down. I also work in the field of biotechnology in cannabinoid research but most of our projects are in CA or CO.
Tough times ahead for sure - I'm still waiting for a recession on top of all that mess!

Bad times coming to many states, and reality will hit hard, I think it's only a matter of time that the people will wake up, but right now so many have no idea.
It's so typical of the government... remember the "Federal Government Shut Down" a few years ago? Corrupt politicians will do anything in their power to keep the money spicket running into THEIR ponds, without any accountability to the people they're supposed to be serving.
There will come a time when these sellouts need maximum security because the masses realize what they've done and want to see heads roll. Sadly that time might not be too far away. When you're talking about people's livelihood, it can get ugly Real fast.
I think the time is around the corner, and it is about to get ugly.
