Violet to Red II ~Unicorn Trails

There were Unicorn trails around the edge of the ring
Sacred knots to the Celts, as if weaved with one string
Inside bore the likeness of four entwined sets of wings
Eight points to the fabled star of Elven Everlast Sterling

Each wingtip inlaid with gems displayed a fine spectrum
The eighth tip being crystal clear and brilliant diamond
In the center blazed opal like the very core of the sun
As flower petals in gold from the opal they sprung

Elven steel the shield and to carry it was light
Arrow, spear, or blade could not pierce or smite
Blessings upon it in runes bold and bright
Folks said it glowed of its own deep at night

With the other wood skjǫldr dangling in the breeze
A water spider Freyja's Pride shore-bound indeed
Shipwrights at the ready to rebuild the picker of cherries
