Earth Deeds: Our Hemp Coffee Filter

Earth Deeds: Reducing paper waste, conserving electricity and reducing carbon footprint from shipping of Coffee Beans from a closer source. Oh yeah we compost the grounds too!

Coffee is a staple in most American households and countries of wealth. Unfortunately, coffee has lots of negative and unsustainable aspects to it. From the shipping of coffee around the world, to the over production of coffee leading to increased water usage and disruption of natural ecosystems; coffee presents a very unsustainable situation for the world. These are just general problems that the two articles below touch on:

Admittedly @dynamicrypto and I are hooked on coffee. We buy coffee from a local coffee shop, Sunrise Coffeethat roasts their beans onsite and uses a wooden kiln. It took them a few years to get it right but now have it down to science. We buy these beans and typically they from female farms(Cafe Femenino) or single sourced farms.

We are such coffee snobs that in order to raise that pinky up with our cup of joe we have a japanese coffee kettle, a japanese hand crank ceramic burr grinder and a japanese glass dripper. Of course to help preserve the terps(terpenes) bro, conserve power and provide a non plastic medium.

Hand pour overs is our prefered coffee method. With the Japanese coffee kettle, executing a perfect pour over is easy! We even save our coffee grounds and dispose of them in the garden. In the past we would use specific paper cone filters for our coffee. So after each brew, I would simply toss the coffee filter and grounds into the compost pile in the backyard. The paper waste/consumption started to bother @dynamicrypto. So one day he bought hemp cone filters. So far we can make one last 4-6 months, depending on maintenance.

So we have cut down the use of paper as a result of switching to hemp filters. Still a very small part of the unsustainable nature of coffee, especially in a desert like Las Vegas, but we feel good enough about composting our coffee grounds and eliminating the need for paper filters to raise our pinky's up! I also forgot to mention we primarily buy coffee from Mexico which just by chance is a lot closer to us than Africa, thus reducing our carbon footprint a bit.

Some coffee ground compost action. Often times we will just sprinkle the grounds around the soil too!

Yes, im totally addicted! So I am a little off subject here but more and more of my friends are getting different strains of candida where it affects them via a rash, sores or a lung infection that travels to the Head. Apparently Candida attaches to your DNA or RNA in such a fashion that is really hard to get rid of it unless you break the peptide bonds it has. I guess you need enzymes. Check this product out if this doesn't work then my only solution would be to get a $300 test and then show that to the doctor so I can get a antifungal drip. Typically Candida is not recognized as a medical condition in Western medicine instead it is treated as a symptom from something like cancer or leukemia or even HIV.

I I just had a friend get bit by mosquitoes and then 2 weeks later he has still white tongue and all the symptoms that I've had for the past almost 2 years.

whoa, now you have me thinking about skeeters! they love me! you know there was talk Bout engineered skeeters in the gvt to do this stuff?? im okay tho, i did a huge cleanse and still in the process. it feels like mine is still in my gut. 😢

Yeah my friend I helped like 10 years ago get over it. All the advice I gave him worked. I just suggested Garden of Life supplements are their probiotics as well. It sparked Life into him in a big way but he went vegan and even stop smoking and he said for 6 to 8 months he's never felt better. But then got bit up by these mosquitoes and actually has ate meat in that same time the last 3 weeks and now it's back! Apparently you can starve it out all you want but unless you break the bonds that has to your DNA or RNA or whatever is with their peptide bonds through enzymes I guess you just won't get rid of it? I went to Sprouts and apparently it's a very big problem that everyone seeks help for it at least here in Vegas and they have nutritionalist here that educate their staff on what to prescribe people or rather to suggest. She explained the whole concept of candida taking on viral tendencies if it's not taken care of immediately. And in most cases it's not as doctors will want to treat for cancer before they treat for the fungus.

ive been eatin a lot of homemade fermented stuff like kimchi, need to learn the probiotic water and make kombucha .... omg its back. eekkkkkk doctors suck and yeah the whole cancer thing is gross ... just gross

Hey Rex is doing a whole Ant people show tomorrow!😯😼😁 no joke!

so you know how you are with ET and may know TSU people? and how i’m also a part of that too? have you started to notice that the things we speak about or at least that have a message is being talked about amongst like minded people? the ones that dont sync up sort of go away or separate out? guess my point here is that what i say and mention is real. whether people get it 100 % the first time around, they may the next time around. :) there is a lot more i need to share and i am supposed to be writing a book about this all. bottom line, i’m not surprised. i hope the dude accurately conveys what needs to be said, i think i need to get on dtube hahaha

I gotta work on this. Friends all around me country wide has this happening to them. Im now certian this is what I have. Its extremely hard to test for it I guess. Explains why my friends get misdiagnosed and dont find out until years later

i agree with you, you ate something somewhere and picked it up. i had it once. i was on the bragg and jansen diet for about 5 years, i did a lot of deep intestinal cleansing where the plaque all came out and that did the trick. i then did the blood type diet for maintenance for about 2 years. i just did another huge internal cleansing and its helped but i may do the master cleanse after a couple of weeks to get deeper.

See they dont know much about this super bug. How its spread or anything is unknown, the barely understand that it is coming from hospitals. Its scary as they dont know how its transmitted. Common pattern im seeing is mosquito bites.

And again you need this enzyme lysozyme mainly to break the peptide bonds

Yeah the universal conciousness is pretty incredible. We as a people can be like super computers when linked up. Dividing us and making us fight each other and not them further prevents this psychic connection from taking place. Its why they need us to be loaded with heavy metals, mind contoling media/propaganda and pills.

Have you listened to this song called A spoonful weighs a ton by the The Flaming lips?

And though they were sad
They rescued everyone
They lifted up the sun
A spoonful weighs a ton
Giving more than they had
The process had begun
A million came from one
The limits now were none
Being drunk on their plan
They lifted up the sun
Forcing it off with their hands
The trap door came undone
Above our heads it swung
The privilege had been won
Being drunk on their plan
They lifted up the sun
Yelling as hard as they can
The doubters all were stunned
Heard louder than a gun
The sound they made was love

yes we are a huge super computer and just waiting for that day to come. no i hadn't heard that song

That was a really enjoyable read!

I agree that coffee is as much an art form as a beveridge.

You've really got that art down!

Oddly enough I tend to try and get an African blend... that being closer to the U.K.

If you wanted to make a one off exception and try a different bean then Ethiopian Yirgacheffe is pretty much the best in the world...

Oh yeah I love that one too! I was told there are 1000 different species of coffee plants out in Ethiopia?! The coffee place we go to has the variety from That region that is like drinking a dark chocolate orange... But in the recent past they have had various Yirgacheffe ethiopian beans but they were too citrusy. So yeah you caught me as we do at times get the ethiopian...😬😎

Fair play! You really do know your beans!

I'm doing a day trip to London om Friday I might just have to track down an artisan coffee shop and stock up!

Yeah our next big coffee purchase will be to switch to a copper coffee kettle and copper dripper. Its mostly so as to maintain proper 'thermal conductivity'. I did not include our digital laser thermometer mostly because i judge by the bubbles. I guess the best temp for coffee is 203°. Copper allows for less heat loss and the need to for concern with the heat loss from the thick glass from our current dripper. I also love the anti-microbial properties of copper!

Crikey. You are way ahead of me... you should run courses!

Ha, that would be cool!
