Earth Day || How can we make choices that regenerate our environment?

Something I've learned throughout my forest therapy journey has been that as much as we need the forests, the forests need us. There's an element of reciprocity in the practice of forest therapy, the practice was developed not solely as an extractive practice, but as a practice where human beings and the non human world benefit. Thinking beyond the mutual benefit, how can give more to the Earth? Regenerate? How can we make a difference?

It just so happens that today is Earth day, which is a day where around the world events are held to demonstrate the support of environmental protection. So, what can we do?

• watch a documentary - An Inconvenient Sequel (the perils of climate change can be overcome with human ingenuity and passion), Meet the Artist 17' (chasing coral reefs), The Age of Consequences (impacts of climate change on increased resource scarcity and migration), Evolution of Organic, The True Cost (fast fashion), Cowspiracy (environmental effects of eating meat & dairy), Called to Rescue (how animals are changing the world, simply by being who they are), lastly, a video I made Our Journey As Forest Therapy Guides

• learn about how you can become more "Zero Waste" - Reusable Bags, Mason Jars, Cloth Produce Bags, Reusable Water Bottle, Bamboo Tooth Brush, Canvas Cloth Food Wrappers, etc.

• Think about the skills you have and how you might be able to incorporate more regenerative practices into your life.

• Lastly, I invite you to go outside and find some grass or trees to sit by and hold the intention to deeper your understand of what you can offer the natural world? Is it your presence? Is it your passion to create laws to protect our environment? Is it your ability to invite friends to get outside?
