As we approach the end of this year, we’d like to look back in 2018 and outlook for 2019.
This year, DxChain has achieved 3 major milestones of product development, established a global community with over 170,000 supporters.

Great thanks to our community members, none of these would be possible without your unwavering support!

[Development Progress]

First of all, the most crucial part of this year is our milestones of product development.
As the roadmap shows, DxChain research team released the white paper in March and introduced the revolutionary “Chains-on-chain” architecture, which means the design of one master chain with two side-chains for storage and computing respectively. We believe this architecture will mark the beginning of future blockchain breakthroughs in data storage and computing.

To be more specific, the computing side-chain is used for parallel computing to process large volumes of data; the storage side-chain is used for storing data, protecting users’ privacy, and supporting the computing side-chain. The master chain is used for operating blockchain transactions while coordinating the two side-chains.

In June, DxChain released the Minimum Viable Product (MVP), which showcased DxChain’s blockchain storage capability as promised.

After several months of design, development, and testing, DxChain launched the beta version of testnet in September, realized the blockchain storage capability and marked the beginning of DxChain’s productization.
The specific functions introduced in this release include: transaction function, file storage function, product scaling, and DX explorer.

The DxChain testnet is projected to be launched on 1/8/2019, while the mainnet beta is scheduled to be released on 3/31/2019. Please stay tuned!

[Community and Ecosystem]

Besides the technical progress, we also made great achievements on the community and ecosystem development.

DxChain has reached partnerships with DoctorChain, Quarkchain, NKN, EtainPower, and Celer Network, to spawn an equal and open network, contributing to the entire blockchain ecosystem and bringing the blockchain’s features to a wide range of downstream applications.

The collaborations will not only benefit DxChain’s ecosystem but also break through the bottlenecks of blockchain technology and accelerate the application of blockchain in various industry fields.

In terms of media coverage, it is greatly honored to share our technical innovations with the most renowned media platforms all over the world, such as Tencent, 21st Century Business Herald, Jiemian and 36Kr.

DxChain Team has also attended various roadshows, meetups, and technical activities globally, to spread the “chains-on-chain” innovation. In-depth discussions were held with several top blockchain engineer communities, including Blockchain at Berkeley and Google ABC, which are the most famous crypto and blockchain communities in Silicon Valley.

From holding and attending various activities, we expanded our networks and our global community, grabbed Blockchain enthusiasts’ attention as well.

All in all, 2018 comes to an end, but plenty more is upcoming!
