You don't mention whether the soy products you use in your recipe are fermented or unfermented. Unfermented soy is toxic to animals and humans. The vast majority of soy grown in the west is also genetically modified, which some suspect may cause even worse problems. Quorn is a far better meat substitute as far as I'm aware. Soy products are only eaten in small quantities in the Far East and soy only became a food source after they developed the fermentation process. The bad stuff causes breast cancer among many other serious effects.

interesting, im unsure about fermented or unfermented but I think that non gmo tofu is ok to have once in a while
