if we take a lesson from any experience we have gained something... the knowledge and understanding of the events and constructs which have led us to this very moment. With this data we can forge a new path and become better equipped to deal with these occurrences in the future.

What happened sucked ass and is horrible, im sorry you have had to experience that, but dont let it deter you from your path. It is a reflection on the other person and their intent to cause harm through their actions.
