Steem is Blocked in China and It's My Fault?
VPN is working again!! (for now)
Within 24 hours of posting my last video, many dapps on the Steem blockchain became inaccessible in China. I actually got to see it blocked real time. I was on busy.org reading a post and then I clicked on my account to view my blog page and boom, none of the posts were displaying. At first I thought it might be a bug so I asked around and other people outside of China weren't having any problems. Ever since seeing @joythewanderer's video, it became official that it was only a China issue.
In this video, let me share my opinion on why information is censored in China. Hopefully this educates a lot of people out there. There are other reasons why apps are censored, but this is probably the most important one in my opinion.

Man,Chinese people have the same mentality like Greek people but we are far less in population.
No one stands in line here,they all throw trash everywhere,everyone parks their car wherever the hell they want and in general it a mess.
I can understand why the Chinese goverment is doing this shit and I think younger people like you know how to use VPN and surf the net.
It might have been your video man for real cause it was your dick that also caused 9/11 if I remember correct.

Not much of a surprise really, it was only a matter of time.
The more they clamp down the less likely it will be possible to maintain public order.

It is hard to be censored, you are just not free so I just am not liking Communism because it is harsh for the people @kenanhd
I am sure that there are a lot of Chinese are using VPN to circumvent this kind of oppressive government.

I don't know if you can actually get out, I don't know you love the country that much, but having other platform like facebook blocked in china is not a cause to worry so much, but having steem blocked is so Fucked up really, I think obviously it's time you leave the Chinese republic really.
I dont care if Facebook is blocked because I dont use it. Steem being blocked is very inconvenient because I like it and use it. Maybe this can be a sign to try and make steem less censorable. I hope nodes become decentralised in a way that makes it impossible to block. I still like this country. Only time will tell whether I end up leaving for good.

I lived in China long enough. They would let you know what they deemed all right, and what wouldn't. So far, Trump is too unpredictable to me in a bad sense.

The Chinese mindset needs a “big brother” type governing them as of now. The government does a lot for them that wouldnt have gotten done if it was left up to the people. They have a different cultural upbringing and a lot of history.
