Troy Nelson ha preparado un ejercicio de semicorcheas con las notas de la escala del modo A dórico, éstas son: A-B-C-D-E-F#-G. En este lick se omite la inclusión de una 3ra mayor o menor, por lo tanto se puede ejecutar sobre un acorde de Am o A7. Se debe realizar este ejercicio con tapping en el 10mo traste de la segunda cuerda.
