A Small World - an oil painting
Isn't it interesting how our imaginations can create worlds? This painting is reminiscent of my childhood, when I would look into anything made of glass and imagine worlds within the reflections. Or I would lay on my back and imagine that the ceiling of the house was the floor and so there was a second house if we turned it upside down. I also thought there was another world in the mirror if I could just get through to the other side somehow. Childhood is full of magic and mystery, and as adult artists, we still explore those inner enchanted realms.

Childhood is indeed a time where we live in wonderlands, it is really amazing how art gives the ability to fly back to those realms. I really liked how you showed us the endless horizons of a child imagination through this artwork. I got what can be though as a silly question 😄 When we are about to sleep, we often watch images and watch scenes that resemble our childish crafty imagination, have you ever tried to make a painting from one of those images?
