Goals, Dreams, Wishes and Thank You's!

It's @jackmiller here and I've taken it on myself to keep a log book of how we as a family here have put some dreams and wishes to our family goals list.

Everyone in life has some goals, dreams and wishes, but many don't see the vision as to HOW they can come true.

Well, I am a dreamer, a person who was in some way part of the generation that was taught:

"Aim for the roof and you will fall on the ground, aim for the sky and you will fall on the roof"

Now all this may sound a little like a person who has a typical "Wish List", however, this old codger Jack is one of those people who spent a life in which "The key to success was self discipline".

Have to be true to myself, many a time I have strayed from this, however for the good chunk of my adult life I have adhered to these rules in life and I have made things happen in places where people around me haven't been able to make it. Kind of like the dude who went and built a casino in the middle of a desert. Now before I end up fish food, I'm going back home and yes, it is all from scratch!

So, having been living in the place where we used to live, trying to sell our house in a dead, and I mean totally DEAD market. So dead that it makes road kill look like acrobatic circus animals!

So as the price of STEEM jumped the other week, guess what happened?

I started to see light at the end of the tunnel!

So did my better half!

& for her to be able to see light at the end of the tunnel after two decades of puttin' up with me, man that is an achievement!
I don't know what to compare it to, there is nothing that comes to mind, at least nothing that I can put into words and not get people feeling sick. My kind of humour, no limits, so I will just leave it to your imaginations!

ANYWAY getting back to the point of this post, both my better half and I see an opportunity to earn enough money to build a new home for our family in Australia.

Now, some here may think to themselves.... Nahhhh Impossible!

Well, let me tell you a thing or two, it's not the first time some people wrote me off as a "dreamer" a person who is not in touch with reality.
& you know what.... I proved them WRONG!

So to all those out there who think that I am full of it here with this goal, well, let me tell you right now.

DON'T SAY IT..... YOU WILL LOOK AND FEEL STUPID WHEN WE MAKE IT HAPPEN!

Now here is the mathematics behind it:

To build a house for a family of six will with land where we want to live shall cost us about half a million Australian, with all the paperwork and all the materials and works that I can't do, as I'm no electrician or plumber etc.

Now I'm calculating turn key here, no BS cutting corners and avoiding the red tape.

I also include the cost of a double garage and solar panels and water tanks. I believe in ensuring that we can be self sufficient in certain conditions.

So I'm not talking about any friggin mansion, but I'm not talking about skimming out on our family home.

Well, the Australian dollar runs at about $1.25 to $1.36 : 1.00 USD.

It was up there a while back, but this is the rough going rate in the past six month period. Give or take a few cents.

So this is approximately $367,500 USD to $400,000 USD.

When you think about it, maybe this seems like some crazy big, unbelievable figure in comparison to the prices of STEEM being from $0.89 to $8.00 (as seen in the past months).

But like I said!

WE SEE THE VISION AND POTENTIAL OF STEEM GETTING RIGHT UP THERE AND OUR JOB IS TO KEEP WORKING AT IT!

Step by step, Steem by Steem.

No backing down, no backing out!

WE BELIEVE!

Not just as an "expression", it is what we see here and we SHALL MAKE IT HAPPEN!

So it is my job here to keep a log of our progress and to keep it all transparent, open and public, so that others out there can see our progress and hopefully one day say "IF THEY DID IT, SO CAN WE".

No building is comparable in worth to that of a family home. The most valuable building on earth is a family home.

So, to not keep talking about it here and not to make this sound like a person bragging or what ever else, I shall cut this post here.

PS. We as a family are in this one, I'm not on my own with the dream and vision!
