Rereading what I'd written, I couldn't help but think I wasn't creating anything.

I thought I was writing something new, something different from myself. But the text screams my life experiences. Just by swapping the beet juice for cranberry juice, bits of my story emerged almost automatically.

Still, the exercise was cathartic. I exorcised some demons, transforming them into angels.
