First, let me present some statistics in graphs, thanks to the https://stats.steemhub.tech/ app by @kafio. (Don't be alarmed, these will be a few specific graphs that practically describe themselves.)

Interesting numbers, which serve as an introduction. We could run other analyses for the last 6 and 3 months, then compare the growth and engagement of the Dream Steem community. I'm willing to do that, but that's not the topic of this post.

I enjoy Dream Steem, which promotes literary creativity, which has helped me strive to learn and improve my writing. And with minimal prompts, you can unleash your imagination, allowing you to test and experiment with your writing style.

But at the same time, I find it strange that only one weekly contest is promoted, when there are so many possibilities. The numbers show we're a community of 1,000 Steemians; perhaps it's time to set ourselves more challenging goals.

I have no explanation for what might be considered low participation in our community. I myself am one who sometimes takes vacations and returns when I feel inspired to write.

• ❓How do we attract authors to our niche?
