Dlike Poll: Does It Have Way Too Many #sportstalk Content?

Partnerships and collaborations are great. But sometimes they can work too well. Personally I'm not very interested in sports. When I go to https://dlike.io about 75% (sometimes even more than 90%) content is related to sports. This is not all that great IMHO. I have been a huge supporter of Dlike with 5850 SP delegated for the project. I have bee around the project since the fist week and I remember how diverse the content used to be.

  • I Don't Think It is Too Much

  • Dlike Should Stop rewarding/Reduce Rewarding #sportstalk Content

  • The UI/UX Should Be Improved For A Diverse Range Of Content

  • Dlike Should Partner With Other Tribes To Curate Content

  • I Don't Use Dlike. It's Not my Problem

Although I love sports and sports related news but in my honest opinion I will go for
There is Too Much #sportstalk Content on Dlike

Even if we could get more #steemleo contnet, I think the entire website will look much better. Even some popular categories we can click to filter the home page would go a long way IMO.

The first step is to be proactive. Start tagging other tribes in your daily DLike posts on a regular basis -- and then promote in those tribes' respective discord channels -- so that their communities can grow aware of the awesomeness that is DLike.

I think the problem is a lot of users aren't aware of DLike.

Here are some ways to be proactive --

  • Share cool Tech/Science-related posts and then promote to the stemgeeks community
  • Grab the attention of music-buffs with music-related posts, and then promote to the tunes community
  • Engage Reggae fans with a post about a new Damien Marley concert announcement, and then promote to the reggaesteem community

Use the right combo of tags, promotes, and discord to engage the widest audience.

In fact there is a discussion going on in Sportstalksocial regarding this matter. The discussion is centered on the fact there is not only too much #sporttalk content but it is also spammy.

You can read about it here: https://www.sportstalksocial.com/sportstalk/@cryptoandcoffee/missing-the-point-of-spammy-dlike and here: https://www.sportstalksocial.com/sportstalk/@cryptoandcoffee/dlike-should-be-ashamed-and-embarassed#@devann/pxhuxc

I have noticed a ton of sports posts in Marlians too. Probably the same % as you. Why is this happening, I wonder?
