Should @steemcleaners and @cheetah be more tolerant with new users?

This is a small rant about @cheetah and @steemcleaners.

I have seen new users blacklisted in their first week at SteemIt merely for posting the same content they share on their personal blogs. That pains me...

How are we supposed to capture new users if people are flagged just 3 days after their first couple of posts?

I understand the need to confirm that the blog indeed belongs to the users in question but I cannot comprehend nor agree with the philosophy of "Shoot First, Ask Later"

The way @steemcleaners and @cheetah manages suspicions of plagiarism should be more lenient towards new users.

Some people get flagged without even being allowed to defend themselves... These services should, at the very least, allow people to reply to the accusations - before being flagged.

Imagine what it feels like for a new user to wait 3 weeks for his account, finally make a few posts, stay away for a couple of days, and return to see his/her reputation lowered to negative numbers and the first two or three posts hidden.

All because they failed to reply to the accusations in a matter of a couple of hours. Is this fair?

If that was your first experience here, would you stay or would you go away?

Besides that, the only way to defend yourself from a plagiarism flag is to register on Discord, a service that's blocked in some countries, mostly in Asia.

What if you can't (or don't want to) use Discord? You're pretty much finished before you even begin.

Now, for the poll question.

Do you think new users should have an opportunity to defend themselves before being flagged into oblivion?

  • Yes! New users should have the benefit of the doubt and be allowed to reply, before being flagged.

  • No! People should be flagged without the opportunity to defend themselves.

Needless to say:- YES!
Also, "abuse of power" should be addressed and establish some rules to prevent it. Better if flagging and high value down-votes are regulate by review.
