Would you rather never play or always lose?

dpoll Would you rather never play or always lose_ bxlphabet.jpg

I decided to look online for poll questions recently. I was getting stale by just talking about dApps and steem.

This is a question that somewhat puzzles me, and I am interested to know how you feel about it. Please let me know any thoughts you have in the comments.

Thank you for answering my dPoll.

  • I would rather not play if I will always lose.

  • I would rather play even though I will always lose.

I wouldn't regret playing if I always lost but, if I went into every game knowing I was going to lose I don't believe I would enjoy it.

Late to my replies, but I agree with you :)

if I had to pay money. If I didn't have to pay money, I would rather play, although I will always lose.

That is a good way to think of it. If it cost money, that would really hurt!

Obviously/naturally.
Because the point of playing a game is not always winning, but to enjoy it.
Sometimes winning feels meaningless, but if not, then you can still enjoy a Heroes of Might and Magic, Dota 2, League of Legends, Heroes of the Storm, Doom, Grand Theft Auto, Left 4 Dead, Counter-Strike Zombie Mod, Killing Floor, Sega Rally, Beetle Crazy Cup (and other racing games) (and many other) game, even if you would always lose, because the gameplay, the characters/cars, the environment, the visual style, the music are enjoyable and entertaining.
You don't even have to win nor lose in many of the video games.
Let's see the opposite: Minecraft. Losing is meaningless. No matter how many times do you lose, you can still start again, and explore new (randomly generated) areas.
You can even lose twice in the same game in some of these game.
For example in any of the Counter-Strike Zombie Mod games. And also in any of the Killing Floor games.
My favorite is still the Counter-Strike 1.6, but nowadays most of the people are playing Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. And some people play Counter-Strike: Source. Or Counter-Strike Nexon: Zombies (free game).
From the Killing Floor games, I only tried Killing Floor so far, but Killing Floor 2 is also available.
The first lose is to turn into a zombie, the second lose is to get killed by someone.

I see your point about this. Winning is not everything :)
