Can you stay for one year in an isolated island where you'll have all the facilities but, no human contact?

You probably read the story of Robinson Crusoe, main character of the novel named after him and was marooned in an island where he had to live four years before he was rescued.
If you are marooned in an island where you will be provided all the facilities but,you won't have permission to meet any living person, would you prefer to stay there even for one year?

There is an island off of Newfoundland, Canada -- Lower Bay Island -- where the inhabitants have been resettled to the mainland. As of December 31st all services to the island have stopped.
A couple has remained on the island using generators to keep their home running. I've been following them on their FB page although they have taken a break from posting.
