A little rant whilst I start up today's batch of buns. This morning I'm talking about sustainability, communities, what my dreams and goals in life are, and why you should consider getting a head start on growing your own food/raising your own animals before the #perfectstorm hits your country.

That tiny kitchen...I don't think I can cook in it, especially not for a family.
As for the dreams, I do hope I can find a nice little community with land to boot. Growing food is a must. As for fuels and whatnot, I guess stockpiling is the only way, but I'd have to own a property first. lol
I'm glad you're planning and dreaming and aware of the need...hopefully with crypto your dreams will become reality!

I agree with you about being more self-sufficient. And even if people really, truly believe they are safe in their country (I agree with you that no one is, but for the people who can't imagine), it's better for the environment and health as well! If you're not trucking things all over the world, you're not wasting all those resources. And the fresher food is, the more nutrients it has. Sure, there are some foods that don't grow everywhere and are now staples to us (I'm looking at you, coffee and cocoa powder in my cupboard), but if we could at least get as much as possible locally and treat those things more like luxuries, we'd be better off. I still kinda think of it as luxurious to have them, and they're in my protein shake every morning that keeps
me sanemy blood sugar happy. Unfortunately, I feel more vulnerable on this front with all my frikkin' allergies - a lot of things I could grow, I can't eat. If we lived closeby, I would grow you some broccoli and trade for eggs. ;)I love how you grow as much as you can on your balcony, you are such an inspiration to anyone who thinks they can't grow, and you're learning so much too. Sustainability is the way to go. It takes more than you think though. I was prepared for a family of five, but ended up with 21! That definitely put a crinkle in the best-planned sustainability! But you learn to cope! My fondest dream/hope is that we get our family back together soon. Fingers crossed!
I love your tiny kitchen. Reminds me of mine. Not big but can produce the meals necessary! Second dream is to one day have a decent sized kitchen!

@lyndsaybowes i'm right there with you, and if i was in canada i'd start that community alongside you. you are amazing. got grit, leadership, inspiration, and kindness. i wouldn't have seen this if elemental hadn't posted it so i'm glad he did! for some reason i thought you just curated, so i hope to see more of these wonderful works. its encouraging to us who haven't made things with our own hands for a long time. i grew up doing many things (mostly eating from my families work) LOL! but helping too. looking forward to seeing you share more of your journey. blessings, ES

Im so exhausted and overwhelmed by it that not even Steemit can distract me from this. Its full on idiocracy out here in the big cities. Its crazy same problems here. This is the softest landing ever in history i bet. Hopefully, just a simple shift can happen to where world currencies can be be adopted to have gold/silver backing. Yes it will be tragic to those without earth metals like gold and silver and cryptos it its a better solution than war but war of course will be what causes it or comes of it just based on human nature and history. Free the fair trade markets and abolish free trade. Prioritize Local economies not global ones! Thank you for letting me know im not alone in zombie land!

I lost a lot of my belongings this summer due to this crazy landlord situation I won't get too into-- but I think among all the stuff I lost, I was most bummed about my homemade ACV!! It was my first time doing it and I was really excited.
The apartment I lived in from like 2015-2017 had a very similar kitchen, and it also happened to be the main entryway too. It sucked. I hope you get that farm one day! :) My plans to grow food this year got spoiled by the same BS situation aforementioned. Right now, I can't because my living situation is very temporary. I will though! Promise haha
