Hey Binky! Dtube and Dlive are totally separate - and if anything Dtube is more committed than ever. This will probably bring a lot of creators over to their platform that were using Dlive. For those who do live streams - there is another platform that is currently coming up called @vimm. It looks really promising!

Cool. So Vimm will be linked to Steemit and on the Steem blockchain, basically replacing DLive.

It's so weird that they're just leaving just like that. Makes me wonder if they had a better offer or thought this bear market was a bad thing. It's not like Steem has never been this low before, and they should know the potential it does have, if they remember the last bull run. So either they got a better offer, or something happened with someone somewhere and they decided to leave (gossip story lol), OR (conspiracy theory) they always intended to leave Steemit once they would be built up enough in order to be the big guy on a new platform and have more power and control there.

More information has come out since I made this video and it looks like it was their plan all long. Both @andrarchy and @meno have done some pretty insightful posts about it.

Thanks. I'll check them out.

If it was their plan, the deceit is disappointing. A bit of transparency would have been nice. Though they probably would not have been welcome on the platform, voicing thoughts of possibly moving on after a while might have opened communication and collaborations that might have changed their minds.

I guess, if they don't want us and aren't honest, we don't want them, type thing.
