Macaroni po-flotski is a wonderful dish for everyday menu. Makaroni Po Flotski has been part of the Russian kitchen since the age-old Soviet years. It is said that men in the Navy would prepare this dish quite often, hence the name. Macaroni po-flotski is a perfect dish for new cooks, there are only a few ingredients to use. The simple flavors and textures of this dish is something that the whole family will enjoy. The juicy and flavorful meat is paired with caramelized onions and a pasta.
2 cups small shape pasta or noodles (dry)
about 250 gr of beef / you can also use pork
1 large onion, chopped
1-2 tbsp. butter
Ground black pepper and salt to taste
Step 1 : Boil the meat for 10-15 min in salted water. Chop meat finely or use food processor.
Step 2 : Boil your water, add some salt and then pasta. Cook for about 10 min.
Step 3 : Cut your onion finely and fry in butter on a pan for 5-6 min until soft and golden.
Step 4 : Add your meat, mix together season well.
Step 5 : Drain your pasta and add into the meat onion mixture and stir through. Serve hot and enjoy!
