It's just a terrible read and provide good insights into the mind of a deranged addict. I'm glad this person finally gave up his own ways.But even that only happened after he got heavily beaten up. This is basically what greed and debauchery leads to. But worse things have happened.

I cringe when I get people talk to me like modern society is horrible and it’s getting worse. Do they not understand our grandparents and great-grandparents were literally killing each other?
As far as Ancient Rome goes, I’ve heard of many of those stories. Was life ever brutal back then.
Let's not for get that they were also killing for entertainment (Colosseum) and many of the transgressions of NAP were actually part of virtue and part of being a man.
