Ethereum 2.0 Planned For Launch on the 3rd of January 2020
Phase zero of ethereum 2.0, which enables Proof of Stake (PoS), is targeted to launch on the 3rd of January 2020, seven months from now.
That would be precisely 11 years after bitcoin’s genesis block was launched on the 3rd of January 2009, with Justin Drake, an eth 2.0 researcher, citing the 11th bitcoin anniversary as one reason for choosing that specific date.
Ethereum is very much popular blockchain platform and there are many ICO projects and wallets are built on it. Its an open source, blockchain computing platform which works on smart contract functionality. Ether (ETH) is a token on the Ethereum platform. Ethereum was released on 30 July 2015 and its growth in almost 4 year is nice.
I have been studying about all the cryptos since last 4-5 months and because ether is the next coin after BTC in coinmarket cap so I know more about it. Today I heard about Ether 2.0 for the first time and as per the news it will get launched on 3 January 2020 which is almost seven months from today.
As per the news it will enables Proof of Stake (PoS).
Lets wait for more updates coming in about Ether 2.0 and we will come to know more about this.
