US President Donald Trump has warned that his policies will be "violently" overturned if the Democrats win November's mid-term elections.

He told Evangelical leaders that the vote was a "referendum" on freedom of speech and religion, and that these were threatened by "violent people".

I see Donald Trump is using every tactic to avoid getting impeached.

lol, politics are funny. :) I no longer take them seriously, but we did have left-wing violence after he was elected.

He's just trying to incite violence. The amount of hate and bigotry that has reared its head since this illegitimate president has taken office is astounding

Not sure what CNN has to do with anything. It’s a BBC report.

yikes, i swear i saw cnn. okay bbc as well LOL

all the same family. (on the “map”) but ppl will think what they wish.

This really is a par for the course. I suppose spreading FUD to activate the dormant "lower class" is a good tactic. It would be a different thing if he/they actually did anything for that lower class with the policies.

Like @whatsup said, politics is funny and I believe the same would be happening if they had a less orange puppet at the forefront, or even if the other party was in charge.

Unfortunately, what Trump says is true. He's not creating some new bit of propaganda. He's reciting what has been, what is and what is to come. We in the US know that Trump's presidency is just a moment between sanity and mind-less, violent insanity. Unless. Unless the silent majority stop being silent.

A demagogue /ˈdɛməɡɒɡ/ (from Greek δημαγωγός, a popular leader, a leader of a mob, from δῆμος, people, populace, the commons + ἀγωγός leading, leader) or rabble-rouser is a leader in a democracy who gains popularity by exploiting prejudice and ignorance among the common people, whipping up the passions of the crowd and shutting down reasoned deliberation.
