A Star has been born!
After producing one of the biggest upsets in Wimbledon history by beating Venus Williams in the first round, 15-year-old Cori Gauff has continued to impress by winning her second round in straight sets. And in her third round match against Hercog, she again defied the odds and showed mental strength beyond her age to save 2 match points in the second set, and come back to win the match 3-6, 7-6 (9-7), 7-5.
I think we all agree with Martina Navratilova that ”A star has been born!”
