London traders were stuck twiddling their thumbs on Friday morning after a glitch left them unable to buy and sell shares in the UK’s largest companies. Trading on the blue-chip FTSE 100 and mid-cap FTSE 250 began more than an hour and a half late, after an issue with the 300-year-old exchange’s software caused the biggest outage in eight years
