Yes, in the short run automation will bring "economic"growth. Productivity will climb, but at what social, and indeed economic cost in the long run. As more and more employment is taken over by robots, what happens to millions of workers that are no longer needed. A basic social wage or universal minimum income is a neccesity for the world we are heading into.
