Michael Jordan is one of the greatest basketball players of all time. The mark he left on the NBA is without question, His excellence as a player is etched in stone.
Jordan is now working on his excellence as a man.
The owner of the Charlotte Bobcats unveiled the first of two medical clinics his family funded in the Charlotte area. These clinics are close to lower income areas, a place where these services are desperately needed. They will focus upon uninsured and underinsured people.
Jordan was emotional during the unveiling. He vowed to do more, that this is only the start.
Jordan's ties to the area are enormous. He was a superstar in college at University of North Carolina before moving to the NBA. As the majority owner of the Bobcats, he is entrenched in the area even more.
