Elton John calls Disney’s 2019 ‘Lion King’ remake a “huge disappointment”

Elton John didn't say anything before and shortly after the movie's release. Now, he is bragging on his past performance comparing how the recent soundtrack fared. Well, he has big points though.

*The Lion King* was box office hit grossing more than 1.6 billion dollars. It is now among the highest grossing movies of all time. This shows how live action movies is becoming more popular.

Poor performance of the soundtrack
Despite the huge box office success of *The Lion King*, it's popularity is just quick to fade. The soundtrack also doesn't have that much connection with the movie, and I agree with Elton John.
