DIY: How to fix a unicorn (with pictures)

in #diy5 years ago

So, you have a problem with your unicorn and it just isn't living up to its billion dollar potential you know it inherently has by design. That's okay, lets see if we can get it back on its feet.

Step 1 - Disruption

You are going to want to turn that unicorn upside down as most do not realize that while inherent, the potential of unicorns is only released through the disruption of traditional cycles. It is possibly to create uncertainty and rhythmic imbalance in your hopeful magical winner by turning it upside down. While all parts of the oft mistaken mythical unicorn is valuable, we all know that the majority of the magic is in the horn itself and once flipped, the horn looks to right itself and releases much of its energy through the rest of the unicorn to bring harmony through a process of "glittery osmosis".

Step 2 - Support

To get your unicorn performance back on its feet and running is going to require a great deal of external support. As the old adage goes, no unicorn is an island and for it to perform at its utmost, a strong foundation of believers are needed. As you can see and is so often the case, the early adopters are those who are closest to the unicorn, those who care about its well-being and hope that whatever is amiss can be corrected and improved. The early adopters of unicorn invest time and resources to help repair your unicorn and are those who will provide the mass of activity that effectively bandages, heals and then rehabilitates your unicorn to health.

Step 3 - Glue

Yes. Glue. But not just any glue, Super glue. As you can see on the label used, it is this that is the gel that holds the unicorn together and makes it strong enough to stand on its own four feet. Essentially, the glue is what "socializes" the disconnected parts of your unicorn to connect them across distance to add mass to the whole unicorn. If the right glues are used, they will bring together the unicorn and once righted, will provide broad spectrum support across the lifetime of the unicorn and be prepared, unicorns can live for many, many years and if cared for, bring surprising amounts of value to all that have taken part in the support phases.

Step 4 - Learn its nature

The second to last step is to put your unicorn back on its feet and then, let it run. Each unicorn by nature is different and therefore the attributes and possibilities will be unique to each. While many try, it is nearly impossible to predict exactly what kind of unicorn one has on their hands, nor what is going to become its key skill. The most magical of all the unicorns are what are known as the very rare "Renaissance Unicorn", a unicorn that can take on many shapes and forms simultaneously without having to specialize.

Step 5 - Continual adaption

Once your unicorn is up and running comfortable, the final step is to learn how it moves, which is no mean feat as unicorns evolve over time making adaption to its mannerisms a continual process. Many try to tame their unicorn and in so doing, break the very spirit that makes it magical and end up with nothing more than a pretty horse. Those in the know however, they move as it moves, fly where it flies and when it is in need of sustenance, feed it what it requires to perform at its very best.

So, I hope that this guide has helped you understand how to repair and care for your unicorn so that you, your family and your unicorn and live a long and prosperous life in glittery opportunity and abundance.

LMAO, I saw your title come up on Gina and I thought you had lost it... I should have known it was about a real unicorn, haha

Good to have a bit of fun every now and again. :)

Of all the excellent posts in Steem, this one I will remember for the rest of my life. Or at least till the end of this year which is also incredibly long for me. :)

Thank goodness the unicorn survived and is happily running wild again.

Thanks and glad you liked it.

I'm trying to work out if small is pleased knowing the unicorn surgery is going to go well in the hands of a trained professional or laughing at the ridiculous DIY analogy/guide/thing XD

She was pretty happy that the surgery went well because she was very, very sad that the leg broke after she accidentally dropped it from the shelf.

The guide portion will one day have its own books written about it ;D

I have a glitter phobia, I developed it due to having 4 daughters who couldn't stay out of my craft drawer.

We haven't got to that point yet, but @galenkp is to blame for the introduction of unicorns into our home.

You're welcome. 😉

Not to be technical, but isn't this technically a uni...pegasus?
Unicorns don't come with wings, in my knowledge

Aah, we have a unicorn snob here. 🦄

Might be a pegacorn.
