📷 Photo Collection: Moraines of the Maldives, South Ari Atoll - Part 1!
Hi diving interested people and Steemians, in this article I want to present you a very nice collection of underwater photos I have taken of different moraines in the Maldives!
Moraines are looking a little bit like eels or underwater snakes, but they are not the same animals and moraines are always hiding themselfes in holes, to wait for small fishes to catch.
In the night you can watch them out of their hiding places, hunting actively. It seems that they don´t like divers so much and it is really funny to annoy them a little bit, because they can get very angry. 😂 But take care of your fingers, moraines can bite very strong and it is possible to loose a finger if they are biting you!!!

Seems like an interesting post about this sea creature. But I wonder if there was an incident that it got big and tend to eat human flesh? They do not seem nice to me though because they look so strong. I am sorry for being a scaredy cat. =)
Yes this sea creature is really funny, I like them very much. :-) No, they are not eating human flesh, I never heard something like this. Haha yes, they are really looking a little bit scary, especially when you are meeting them while a night dive! 😆
Hi @future24 keep those thumbs tucked in while diving around that bad ass Moray 😉 I once dived with someone in Thailand who had one finger missing, a barracuda had mistaken it for a little fish. He said one minute it was there then it was gone, his finger and the barracuda lol Pretty sure it's easier to see a Moray coming though
Gr8 pics and the link to the camera gives me hope that I may be able to afford a new underwater camera soon. Mine broke on my last trip and that model looks very reasonably priced. Good to meet a fellow diver on steemit
Hey @raj808! Thank you for your really valuable and nice comment again! Yes, the camera is cheap, but has a really nice quality as you can see in my videos & photos. So it is not necessary to buy a expensive one.

I’d never heard of a moraine before, but they look like very interesting creatures. You have inspired me to take a closer look at diverse sea life. Great photography too.
