I was thinking about @shattenjaeger's post about how to make Steem more efficient.  I thought it was funny.

https://steemit.com/funny/@schattenjaeger/time-to-make-steemit-more-efficient-let-s-just-do-away-with-the-posts-entirely

We should stop requiring anything be written in the post, and we could all just collect our votes, and decide what we want to have in payouts using the bidbots.  We should be able to setup posting templates for dummies by now, come on guys let's get this thing automated.

We could automate posts, comments, votes and botbids, please someone build an app!

I'm not complaining, I just think it is funny some days...

Everyone wants engagement and probably votes, but many don't want to give it back.

This is my daily post to collect rewards.  <=== read that in a robot voice

All in fun

@whatsup,
Wuth upcoming updates and upgrades I think people will not thinking about Authorship! Coz this blockchain is now shifting to a business platform with SMT! So, we won't bother makes money if we have SP at our stock!

Cheers~

This is my comment.

It is an authentic comment in response to your post.

It acknowledges the effort and originality of your post, while itself being a witty and original response.

It is an engaging comment, instantly gratifying the reader, by praising them, while at the same time enriching their lives long term, by giving them pause for thought.

It is a vote-worthy comment, yet a modest comment, that would never insist on such a thing.

It is the kind of comment that sets an example to other comments how to be.

Put simply, it is a good comment.

I was mentioning how good your comments are today.... And you prove it again.

I buy my comments from Comment Farm, a start-up business still in beta, launching on the Blockchain soon.

Comment Farm's ideology is to create comments that are shit-comments, but don't seem like it.

For every ten comments you buy, you get one free. This comment is the free one, which you can tell from it's slightly lower quality.

Still, thanks so much for your kind words.

If I might ask, where did you buy them? ;)

Man, this idea about comment farm, its... BRILLIANT!
Someone have to coded it, and coded it NOW!

Hmmm. I perfectly get where you're coming from. Steem is advertised as a social network where quality content gets higher votes, but it's usually "the one with the better connections gets bigger votes". I've been playing this game since January and I've thought about this formality of posting everyday.

I was thinking today about this because I saw a friend of mine who posts 1 big good quality article everyday and still gets about 10% of what I get with medium-sized medium-quality posts, sometimes twice a day, sometimes every two or three days (whenever I feel like it).

I thought then that his effort is clearly way higher than mine but his reward is miles lower. As chekohler said, once we get the autovotes, it's just a matter of mining. If my friends made one-line posts, I'd still vote for them because of our relationship.

Where is this taking Steem? Is this consistent with the social philosophy that is supposed to make the site grow through indexation, activity attraction and value through token use?

I'd say that it was always like this, but I think it was actually worse before this. The only difference now is that some people can use bid bots to get votes while they couldn't use them in the past.

Well okay there was another difference too. The occasional whale used to upvote people's posts in the past but they don't swim in these oceans much nowadays.

Nice post... Good information...

you forgot "pls follow me back"

I'm no good. :(

It's like my dad always used to say.

Lol i guess we can toss the entire human element out the window or proof of brain lets just run scripts that make posts and turn this into a roundabout way to mine cryptocurrency.

umm..hello...it's called quantified self...

Exactly this

very much good, upvote for upvote so we can yes?

Great post! ;) lol

Lol let's all just forget about Manual curation. Hell, let's remove the 'social' and call it 'Robot' Media

Anti-social media

Sorry, but you are going to have to do with my hunan comment, and human upvote😉
It's an interesting topic and issue that you are raising...
Think we've had this discussion before..Few people can make a quality post, many people try...
Few people can make a quality comment, many people try...and the rest use their automated bots and so on...Sometimes giving the wierdest answers😉
In my opinion, the people who are making an effort, doing quality comments are often overlooked, and not rewarded enough in this system..
A quality post consists of good material and a lot of quality comments😉

And how do you measure quality..??.. to me, quality is people doing an effort!!

Yeah, I agree we don't give comments enough love, myself included. I feel like I am always short on Voting Power. Guess I need more steem.

Here is some full power love from me😉
No matter what @whatsup you always give an answer back...unlike most of the big ones..Credit for that!
Yes, get some STEEM while it's still cheap👍

It takes a lot of Steem and Time to reply to everyone, write and curate others as well. No wonder more folks don't stick around. :)

That is what you get from interacting with people...on a social media platform...who would have known😉

Not writing will save space on the blockchain.
