It would appear that Britain has a 'knife crime' problem. The reason why is unclear. However, to combat the situation guns are being re introduced.
"never take a knife to a gunfight'...
Just kidding.
What they are actually doing is rolling out an ad campaign.
Printing warnings on take-out fried chicken boxes.
- Special chicken boxes warning about the dangers of carrying a knife are to be distributed to takeaways across England and Wales by the government," reports Sky News. "More than 320,000 of them — featuring the Home Office #knifefree campaign — will replace the standard packaging in 210 outlets."
- London mayor Sadiq Khan is announcing broad new 'knife control' policies designed to keep these weapons of war out of the hands of Londoners

Sadiq Khan was in Austin Tx recently and was quoted as saying that IED's and bombing peoples houses was OK. It's just a fact of life in today's world he said. It's unclear whether he was upset when Austin cops shot the bomber.
But he's upset about kinves..

They are taking away ordinary tools too? Why not just cut off people’s hands while they are at it?

Either people in Britain are deranged and incapable of civilization, or something deeply disturbs them such that they are compelled to violence due to environmental conditions. Given history and our grasp of genetics and heritability, I conclude it is the latter.
Perhaps being surveilled by a police state that even puts cameras in peoples homes, and jails them for making statements the police state disagrees with leaves people feeling disenfranchised and left with only physical violence as a means of affecting their condition. This is not my mere speculation btw, but based on reading I have done of political science.

Why are they there? Who brought them in? What are they doing?
This is government policy. The more people are denied political representation, the more they are reduced to physical violence to impact their environment.
I was in a hardware store once and I guy was looking for a fight. It didn't happen, but he was an idiot to start something in a store filled with weapons. Rakes, hoes, yard tools, garden tools. I was standing next to a rack of items hanging from hooks that stuck out from a perforated board. If necessary I was planning on putting one in his eye. You and me are old soldiers. Almost anything is a weapon no fear of using anything as such.
