Virtual Reality

I just watched the first season. I'm impressed. All the previous British movies I've watched (very few) haven't interested me in the least. This one does, it shows a country VERY different from where I live (Texas). Completely different yet it confirms what I've thought for a long time.

Genetics is irrelevant. Cultural Assimilation isn't. In the flic it depicts Blacks, Whites, Browns and Yellows , the skin colors I was taught in the fifties. (not currently PC so sue me) , living in harmony. They are all assimilated into the same culture.

Not only that but it's got the occasional nude bit, that's a plus, but more importantly it portrays a near future that I find very easy to believe.

Virtual reality via headset, haptic feedback , with a hint of neural interface.

The video is composed of two realities seamlessly entwined. The actual reality portrayed by actors. The Virtual Reality as portrayed by CGI. It's done very well.

Not only that but this series (so far) is not a rehash of some tired old enemedia trope. No dystopian future. (yet) So far it doesn't appear to be indoctrination about right think. Perhaps the very opposite. So far I've not seen one SUV crash, do a flip in the air, roll over and bust into flames. How refreshing.

This series is (perhaps) breaking new ground.

I've only watched Episode One. I'm going to savor this one.

No binge watching.

pinke swear.

Nice to hear a positive review from someone with similar tastes as me. Most if not all stuff on TV is crap these days.
