Last few days, I started to get few discord link invitation on my channel asking for joining the certain discord group. I did get inside into few servers , but the moment I start surfing on the channels. I noticed every other member trying to put !invite manager & !rank command to check the invitee status. Very surprised to see ,I figured it out that such servers are trying to pull maximum users through their member and !invitemanager command shows the ttree of number of invitee by each person , !ranks shows the ranking of pulling number of user.

Discord has played a significant role In community development. There are many well groomed community like #thesteemengine , #steemitbloggers , #thealliance , #asapers who build with the purpose of supporting a good content and helping minnows. The admission to these server is purely on your ability of writing any content and to interact and respect fellow steemian.

However , the new brewing trend have engulfed many of the discord servers. Many upcoming Discord severs are trying to increase user base only through these Invitation through their members. Do not want name any of them, still currently many have this trendy way to send the invitation and Spamming your Discord channel for sake of few rewards.

In the race to stand on top, the members are directly dropping the Discord server links on your your channel or DM, without even saying "HELLO".

Aren't those servers killing the concept of community development ??

Before these servers ask their user to do so, It would be better to teach their member to interact first. I notice some of the member are not even aware of the base for promoting those servers. Gradually the race to be on top in promoting those servers, they are increasing Spamming your Discord account.

Why Discord channels are putting up these request.??

The discird are not concern of developing a community rather they just wanted to pull up maximum user to show their worth. Tjey dont need active and efficient member but people who can make the group stronger by numbers. They ask their new member to strenthen the group by calling more and in return they offer penny rewards.

Pretty unusual instances, where new user get blindly into such server for their post promotion or other helps rather than understanding the motto of such discord server. Even I do not understand it yet
