Alternatives Leben auf der Spree
Gestern bin ich @lichtblick ans Wasser gelaufen und wollte mal sehen ob die Hausbootfraktion fleissig winteraktiv ist. Letztes Jahr war der Fluss bzw. die Rummelsburger Bucht ganz zugefroren und ich konnte beobachten wie Hausbootbesitzer auf alle vieren zu ihren Booten gerobt sind. Robben muss man solange bis das Eis auch wirklich begehbar ist, wobei man sagen muss das robben schon lebesgefährlich werden kann, da man sehr schnell im Eis einbricht.
Yesterday I ran to the water and wanted to see whether the houseboat fraction is busy winter active. Last year, the river or the Rummelsburg bay was completely frozen and I could watch as houseboat owners on all fours have crawled to their boats. Crawling is needed as long as the ice is really walkable, whereby one must say that crawling extremly dangerous is, asone breaks very quickly into the ice.
Auf dem See ist eine Eisdecke zu sehen aber die ist noch alles andere als stabil. Es sieht recht mulzig aus, ist aber so dick dass man mit einem Boot nicht mehr weit kommt. Man kann aber überhaupt nicht darauf laufen.
On the lake is an ice cover to see but it is anything but stable. It looks quite mulky, but is so thick that you can not get far with a boat. But you can not run on it at all.
Jetzt ist alles verlassen und wenn die Eisdecke dick genug ist, dann werden die ersten wieder zurück auf ihre Boote gehen. Viele der Boote haben einen Ofen und ansonst wäre das wohl auch nicht möglich. Die Boote werden auch dick in Planen gepackt.
Now everything is left and when the ice cover is thick enough, then the first will go back to their boats. Many of the boats have a stove and otherwise it would not be possible. The boats are also packed thickly in tarpaulins.
