Amerikanische Zentralbank rettet den Kryptomarkt!/ American central bank saves the crypto market!

Until early March, Coinbase relied on the services of Silvergate Bank to do this. Then, when Silvergate postponed the release of its 10-K report earlier this month, Coinbase ended its partnership with Silvergate and switched to Signature Bank.

With the closure of Signature Bank, Coinbase has now also been directly affected by developments in the US banking sector. The company confirmed having deposits of 240 million US dollars at the bank. However, due to the measures adopted by the US Federal Reserve, the company expects the deposits to be returned in a timely manner.

Coinbase is not the only crypto company directly affected by the closure of Signature Bank. The stablecoin issuer Paxos also announced that it had deposits of around 250 million US dollars at Signature Bank. Paxos expects to get the deposits back as early as today.

Due to the Fed's assistance, the closure of Signature Bank should not have any further financial consequences for the affected crypto companies.

However, every investor or user of these platforms should be aware that these companies are dependent on the interventionist measures of the US Federal Reserve.

After USDC issuer Circle announced that some of the stablecoin's reserves were stuck at Silicon Valley Bank, investors withdrew their funds.
Circle announced on 11 March that around US$3.3 billion could not be transferred from Silicon Valley Bank.

The bank run reminds us that the fractional reserve system can only work with sufficient confidence. Every time it falls below a certain threshold, the state has to step in, if it decides to bail it out. For this reason, we should never forget that we do not own our money in the bank account. We only own claims against a company, ergo the bank - no more and no less.

Crypto is not to blame

When Silvergate Bank faltered, most American officials agreed: crypto is to blame. Especially crypto-hater Elizabeth Warren felt vindicated and admitted that she had always known. Only a few days later it became clear how nonsensical this monocausality is. The banking problems are not just the expression of a crypto winter, but the symptom of an entire industry and the fastest 180-degree monetary policy turnaround since World War II.

The safest bank: the state
Another lesson is that of full government insurance. At Signature Bank as well as the systemically important Silicon Valley Bank, the state steps in. No one has to fear for their deposits.

The state has thus successfully averted a financial quake for the time being. Although it is emphasised that no banks are being rescued, only customer deposits, at the end of the day this is also an expensive undertaking for taxpayers.

My personal conclusion:

Does anyone really believe that crypto is not wanted by the states? If the Federal Reserve really had something against the crypto market, now would have been the chance to crash it. Coinbase and the stablecoins Paxos and USDC were saved with American taxpayers' money.

Thanks to the Fed, crypto investors around the world have had their capital secured.

Now it is time to say THANK YOU to the
to say THANK YOU to the fiat money system? You must not forget that the crypto exchanges are also built with debt! And are dependent on the old system.
