Sure, that might be a bit hasty, but as in many areas, first impressions, the atmosphere at the time, and of course the artists all play a role
Classical music often demands a good deal of time from the listener. For some composers and performers, I also tend to move on quickly. There's so much good stuff, that I don't want to risk my time on something I'm not sure about.
