A saint among men vows to pay off debt of a graduating class

So recently a Billionaire, Robert F. Smith, who is an alumni of Moorehouse college, pledged to pay of the the ~40 $Million in student loans taken out by the class of 2019. That’s about 100K a piece on average.
I say this man is a saint among men. $40 Million is a drop in the hat for a Billionaire, and I hope the class of 2019 carries the torch. The only thing that bothers me about this is that it could encourage the degeneracy of universities that jack up their prices disproportionate to inflation for the sake of making money. College should NOT cost so much. Thankfully tho, due to the altruistic nature of Mr. Smith the graduates will not be financially ruined the moment they graduate from an institution that was originally meant to elevate their status in society.
